Chapter 2004: Battle Royal, Taking the First Kill

As soon as he said that, Thanos spun the double-headed blade in his hand and swung it.

Bang!

Stormbreaker was blocked by the giant blade, and Thor glared at Thanos with hatred.

Thanos’s purple face was indifferent. “Is that all you have? You’re far inferior to Odin.”

As he spoke, he exerted strength in one hand and pushed the incoming battle ax aside, avoided Thor’s Mjölnir hammer with the other hand, and kicked Thor away.

The giant blade spun again, and the orange plasma beam which Tony had shot at him was dispelled.

Tony flew over Thanos’s head, but Thanos grabbed one of his legs, then slammed him to the ground and stomped on him.

The impact was a little unbearable.

Steve flung the shield at Thanos’s left hand.

Thanos raised his hand to block, and the shield ricocheted off of his arm brace. As Steve caught the shield, a spear tip popped out of Luke’s collapsible staff and stabbed at Thanos’s thigh.

Thanos was quick to dodge, and at the same time, his leg swept out at Steve.

Steve only had time to put his shield away before he was sent flying ten meters.

Seeing this, Strange, who had been waiting for an opportunity, sent out a dozen crimson light whips to wrap around one of Thanos’s arms and prevent him from moving.

Taking advantage of the small opening, Tony flipped over and got up on one knee. He raised the palm cannon and aimed it at Thanos’s face.

The double-headed blade slashed down almost at the same time.

Shocked, Tony immediately put his hands together and formed a round and smooth shield.

The blade and shield collided with a screech, and Tony and his two good friends were all sent flying at the same time.

When Ebony Maw, who was nearby, saw his master being attacked, he decisively gave up on the little bug that was jumping around.

Flying over, he waved his hands, and a large number of rocks and metal arrows shot at the back of Strange, who was entangled with Thanos.

Before Strange could react, his floating cape had already pulled him away.

At that moment, Strange and his cape were already telepathically connected. Almost the moment the cape started to move, he knew that there was impending danger.

He decisively gave up on the light whips and retreated.

The junk shot out at high speed didn’t hit Strange, but they turned the dozen or so soldiers fighting ten meters away into sieves.

After forcing Strange back with one attack, Ebony Maw immediately focused on Steve and was about to wave his hand at him.

Pa!

A white and sticky web covered his face, interrupting his telekinesis.

Then, the red and blue spider swung over on a web string stuck to a flier and kicked Ebony Maw in the face.

At the same time, he didn’t forget to shoot out a web ball to send this troublesome guy out of the battle.

On the side, Corvus Glaive’s double-ended polearm suddenly swung at the spider’s waist with enough force to cut him in half.

Steve, who had just gotten up, threw out his shield again. It hit the middle of the polearm from the side and deflected it so that it stabbed a giant beast in the back.

At that moment, Thor and Tony had already gotten up to fight Thanos again.

Corvus Glaive, who had lost his weapon, was sent flying into a group of soldiers by two special arrows from Clint.

Proxima Midnight immediately fired an energy blast at the guy who had hit her husband, before she was ambushed in the back by two shots from Rhodes and sent flying.

Cull Oblivion roared and charged back in, but Wanda, whose eyes glowed red, flung him hundreds of meters away.

For a moment, the battlefield was completely chaos.

Nobody noticed an unremarkable gray figure following Cull Oblivion hundreds of meters away.

When Cull Oblivion’s huge body smashed into the ground, the gray figure snuck in soundlessly.

Cull Oblivion, who had been punched in the kidneys by Luke, was injured by Wanda’s attack. For a moment, he was in so much pain that he couldn’t get up.

But Thanos was being attacked. He roared wildly and tried to move.

In his agitation and immense pain, he didn’t notice Luke at all.

As he struggled to get up, a colorless and transparent spike of Annihilation energy, as slender as a cicada’s wing, pierced him in each black eye.

The Annihilation energy spikes pierced Cull Oblivion’s eyes and instantly exploded into spiky balls, turning the brain inside into tofu.

Cull Oblivion’s body stiffened, and he fell back to the ground.

Luke drew back his fingers and looked at the system notification telling him that the mission to kill Cull Oblivion had been completed. He chuckled inwardly. This was the first one.

After killing the first enemy general, Luke disappeared in the dust, and Cull Oblivion’s body was covered by a pile of garbage.

For a moment, nobody knew that one of the four generals had silently disappeared.

…

After he snuck away, Luke took out two more guns and opened fire.

Even though the backup guns which Tony had given Rocket had a standard output of 1,000 energy blasts, they couldn’t compare with Luke’s efficiency of firing more than 200 shots a minute without wasting even a second.

The battle against Thanos gradually grew more intense.

Thanos’s soldiers charged forward in a frenzy as they tried to block the Avengers, even with their bodies.

This battle tactic was incomprehensible for most of the Avengers.

Thor could clear the area with lightning, but he was part of the main force against Thanos, and couldn’t spare much energy to deal with the soldiers who were acting as meat shields.

At that moment, Wanda was the main force in clearing the area. Scarlet chaos energy sent a large number of soldiers flying.

Luke’s eyes lit up. “Is Wanda here?”

Scott instantly replied, “She just came from Wakanda. She doesn’t have a communicator.”

Luke: “…Got it.”

Scott asked, “Do you want me to contact her?”

Luke said, “No need. Be careful yourself.”

Just now, Scott had turned into a giant several times to blow up several big worm battleships and a dozen heavy tanks.

If he wasn’t careful, he might be unlucky.

Luke sent a voice transmission to Wanda. “I’m Knight. I need your cooperation.”

Wanda paused, and she couldn’t help but look around. “Who?”

“The one who cursed at Thanos earlier.” Luke paused for a moment. “Just keep quiet and nod or shake your head.”

Wanda nodded in understanding.

It was hard not to remember this person who had dared to curse at a tyrant like Thanos.

However, she was more than 700 meters away from Luke, and Luke could only sense mental fluctuations about 500 meters away. He could only observe her expression as he spoke.

Luke said, “Do you see that gray-faced Squidward with telekinesis? Work with me to kill him later.”

Wanda’s eyes lit up, but she still looked a little hesitant.

It was unclear whether it was because she didn’t believe in Luke’s identity or that he could kill Ebony Maw.
