Sword Among Us Chapter 812 – Harvest Points

Chapter 812: Harvest Points

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The loud sounds of weapons clashing were incredibly intense and frequent. They came from the plains that had only a few stars shining above it, and they spread far and wide.

A light breeze blew past the area.

The torches had already been reduced from its original seven to four.

Outside the ever shifting battlefield were more than ten Mongolian cavaliers’ corpses. They were swiftly swallowed by darkness. The remaining dozen Mongolian cavaliers could no longer stop Chen Kai’s explosive attacks once Yu Yan held back a second group of Mongolian cavaliers. Wherever his sword light went to, at least one Mongolian cavalier will die.

The system notifications telling him that he obtained points continued popping up.

But all this was unable to satisfy Happy.

The number of torches on the plains around them kept on increasing, and the sounds of horse hooves also became louder and clearer. More patrolling squads gathered toward them from everywhere. The situation was incredibly critical for them, but there were still at least seven Mongolian cavaliers they had not killed yet.

Yu Yan groaned in her heart.

Even though there was still a distance before the enemies coming toward them will reach them. It was enough for her to get rid of the few Mongolian cavaliers in front of her, but afterward, it might be very difficult for them to break out of the encirclement.

At that moment…

“We have new friends to greet now!”

Clear laughter rose in an unruly manner into the air. At the moment it traveled into her ears, Yu Yan trembled. A person’s figure and face quickly flashed in her mind.

Chen Kai and Chen Kaixin’s figure overlapped with each other right then.

Her heart tensed up. Yu Yan no longer cared about the Mongolian cavaliers’ attacks but activated her body fortification. She endured the two cavaliers’ attacks while she attacked repeatedly and killed the two opponents in front of her. Her gaze swept toward the direction where Chen Kai’s voice came from.

When she saw this, her eyes were instantly fixated on him!

Right when Yu Yan’s fight ended, Happy no longer hesitated in switching his sword technique and weapon. Universe’s Lightning Destruction Style struck forth at lightning speed. His Noble Sword’s dazzling and luxurious light was like a shooting star that flew through the night sky. With a speed as fast as lightning, he stabbed through the few remaining Mongolian cavaliers fiercely.

When he faced Yu Yan as she turned around to look at him, Happy tore off his human skin mask and shot a smile at the girl whose eyes were fixed on him while the light from the torches gradually faded away.

“Silly girl, your sword technique is pretty good.”

Yu Yan’s expression turned quickly from dumbfoundedness to shock, then to disbelief, and before it quickly changed to a wide smile.

She had imagined multiple times how her encounter with Happy will be in the game, but she never expected that it will be here in such a dangerous situation.

The soft spot in her heart seemed to have been struck heavily.

The dark and dangerous plains also seemed to have become brighter and also seemed to be swathed in a warm feeling of safety. At that moment, she could no longer even see the Mongolian cavaliers rushing toward her.

*****

But while Yu Yan could let her mind wander, Happy could not.

He went forward and grabbed Yu Yan before they ran to the place with the least number of torches.

Yu Yan activated her lightness skill like a wooden puppet. Her beautiful and charming eyes were fixed on Happy’s face, and she did not even blink. It was as if she was not quite certain whether what she saw was a dream or reality.

Chen Kai turned into Chen Kaixin.

“Silly girl, if you continue daydreaming, we’re going to die.”

Happy felt a little resigned.

He did not expect that the Mongolian cavaliers serving as reinforcements will arrive so soon, and that they will even appear from everywhere. The number of torches soon exceeded one hundred, and these were from the patrol teams scattered everywhere. The fiercest rumbles came from the direction of the enemy’s main camp…

They seriously poked a hornet’s nest!

“Happy, it’s really you! Why did you run off here alone to do a quest? Oh well, there’re too many people around here. Let’s talk when we get back! We’ll get rid of these Mongolian cavaliers first!”

Yu Yan finally got into the mood for battle. Her eyes became clear, and she followed behind Happy with her confidence now increased by leaps and bounds. She headed toward the direction where there were the least Mongolian cavaliers.

“I’ll stay in front. Just follow me.”

“‘kay.”

“Remember to not be surrounded.”

“Got it.”

The two of them communicated briefly, and by that time, the Mongolian cavaliers could be seen.

The patrolling cavaliers in that direction numbered the least. There were less than six squads over there, and even though there were around forty other cavaliers rushing toward them from the sides, compared to the hundreds of cavaliers that came from other directions, this side was relatively safer.

“Be careful of their arrows.”

Happy rushed ahead of Yu Yan, and this time, it was Yu Yan who spoke up to give him a reminder.

Right when she finished speaking, the Mongolian cavaliers ahead of her had already taken action.

The arrows that could easily pierce through flagstone tiles gathered in front of him as densely as raindrops!

This time, the situation of the ground shattering as if hail had rammed into them did not show up again.

Happy’s gaze was serious and stern. He did not dodge, but went up against those arrows. However, his hands trembled slightly, and a force that brought fear to others’ hearts swept up the grass and air around the area.

An invisible power changed the direction of those arrows.

At the moment the arrows that shot forth from different directions were about to touch Happy, it was as if they were sucked into a huge vortex, and they left their fixed trajectory.

More than one hundred arrows circled round Happy, and with an even faster speed, they flew back toward the Mongolian cavaliers.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

“Ah!”

The sounds of flesh being pierced through rose and fell. The horses neighed, and the Mongolian men screamed in pain, and a tragedy befell mankind under the night sky. Under the profound secret that was “do unto others what they do unto you”, most of the one hundred Mongolian cavaliers were shot by arrows. Nearly one-third of them died, and the others either lost their steeds or were injured rather badly.

Right when they were engaged in battle, a lot of people were thrown off their horses!

Happy did not stop trying to break out of the encirclement. Once his Shifting Stars proved to be effective, he quickly brought out a green medicinal pill from his Universe Bag and tossed it into his mouth before he shot into the disorderly and scattered enemy forces without stopping even in the slightest.

“Die!”

The Mongolian cavaliers were very strong and fierce. Even if they were about to die, they were unwilling to admit defeat. Even if they were injured, they still pounced on Happy without hesitation.

Clang!

Yu Yan did not manage to see how Happy reacted while she followed behind him, but she only sensed a great qi that brought fear into her heart rise from Happy’s body.

Whoosh! WHOOSH! Whoosh! Whoosh…

A faint sword glare swiftly intersected with each other in the air to form sharp sword glares that traveled at astonishing speeds. There were more than one thousand of them, and they quickly went to a few Mongolian cavaliers and seeped into the areas that were not protected by their armor before they shot out of their bodies!

The sounds of bodies being pierced through rose once more!

Yu Yan was stunned while she remained behind Happy.

She watched with a dumbfounded expression while Happy charged to the center of the enemy forces alone.

While he was surrounded by a qi that brought such great fear in others that it will cause them to freeze, waves of sword glares seemed to appear out of the blue. They appeared in dense waves, and they grew clearer and fiercer.

Those sword glares traveled freely, and they killed depending entirely on Happy’s will.

Before the Mongolian cavaliers reacted to the situation, countless fierce sword glares had already pierced through their bodies!

Thud! Thud!

The Mongolian cavaliers who had not died had their built bodies pierced through by those sword glares like tofu. A few seconds later, they fell dead one after another on the plains.

‘So fast…’

At the moment they fell dead, there was still disbelief and fear remaining in their eyes.

At that moment, they still had not registered just how exactly they died, and neither did they know where those sword glares appeared.
