The palace’s roof could no longer withstand the repeated abuse and destruction, and it cracked.

Boom!

A loud sound rose, and the roof collapsed.

The situation exceeded everyone’s expectations. The expressions of Phantasmal Shadow and Momo changed, and they extended a hand to pull up Wu Kuo and the other three heavily wounded men. They dragged them away from the collapsed region.

“This is bad!”

The six people’s emotions were not steady. They stayed by the pit and watched it nervously.

The remaining evil cult disciples resolutely gave up on ringing the golden bell because of this change, since some of their own had fallen through the hole. None of them showed any signs of panic, however. They seemed incredibly happy and excited instead.

“Hurry up!”

“Notify Elder Xing!”

A few evil cult disciples on the roof cried out in surprise, and when they looked at Phantasmal Shadow, Momo, and the others, there were hints of mockery and delight on their faces.

Momo looked at the evil cult disciples who had managed to survive by pure luck as if they were already dead. She curled the fingers of one of her hands, and an invisible power swiftly gathered in them.

At that moment, an old voice filled with awe-inspiring might and a slight hint of anger traveled out from the palace underneath in a measured tone.

“Why are you panicking and shouting all over the place?! Do you even have any decency left?!”

“Elder Xing, a disaster has occurred! Some people invaded Sky Demon Secret Cave, and without giving us a chance to speak, they killed our brothers. Also, third elder’s palace has been invaded. We’ve already lost dozens of brothers to sound the bell.”

Right when they finished speaking, a deep roar rose from the palace.

“Hmph, and you have the guts to say that?! There are so many of you around, and you can’t even kill a few youngsters? What a bunch of trash.”

While Phantasmal Shadow, Momo, Wu Kuo, and the others were filled with shock, a man with a terrifying presence slowly rose from the pit where the roof of the palace had collapsed.

His black hair moved without wind—which looked wild, but not exactly messy—and he seemed like a demon because of it. His hands were placed behind his back, and his robes fluttered to the sides. There was no focus in his sparkling eyes, but he gave others a domineering air that inspired awe.

“You…”

The loud voice came from Elder Xing’s mouth, and his gaze gradually focused before becoming fierce. His eyes were fixed on Momo and Phantasmal Shadow, who stood in front of the others.

“Which sect did you come from?” Elder Xing’s tone was one of supremacy, and there was a firmness in it that allowed no one to refuse his orders.

Momo and Phantasmal Shadow instantly sensed an unprecedented pressure descend on them from the sky. Their bodies became stiff, and they were instantly intimidated by Elder Xing’s aura.

Elder Xing’s strength was clearly unlike that of a normal Inaction Realm martial artist, so he would not be below the evil cult great elder. when his eyes fell on Wu Kuo and the others, they broke out into cold sweat and fell to the ground. Despite gritting their teeth and forcing themselves to stand up, they could not move.

The two women, however, were not any normal people.

One of them was innately cold and arrogant and could ignore everything.

The other was beautiful and smart. She longed to use strength and wisdom to change everything.

When they faced the powerful presence, both of them chose to fight back! They exercised their breathing, and their qi instantly surged up their bodies to weaken the pressure on their shoulders.

Clack!

Elder Xing swiftly noticed the two women fighting back, and he snorted coldly. He sent more pressure on their shoulders, but at that moment, his feet sank down. He crushed the glazed tiles of the roof beneath him and staggered.

Whoosh!

“Careful!”

Right when Phantasmal Shadow’s body staggered and she was about to fall, Momo’s warning rose by her ears.

Elder Xing’s eyes became sharp, and she swiftly disappeared from the air to move behind Phantasmal Shadow. An astonishing killing intent appeared on his dark and indifferent expression.

Phantasmal Shadow did not react slowly.

The afterimage was cut in half in the air, and Elder Xing’s surprised cry could be heard in the air.

“As expected, you are indeed somewhat strong.”

As he spoke, Momo could clearly see that Elder Xing disappeared once again in the direction in which Phantasmal Shadow dodged, and he vanished right when she moved. His speed was terrifying to behold.

Phantasmal Shadow’s calm figure instantly sped up.

When she sensed the threat sticking to her like a shadow and closing in on her, her expression became very dark. She moved around the roof, but she could not shake off Elder Xing.

On the fifth attack, a sharp palm-generated wind finally tore through the air and cut off her escape path before she could even move there. Phantasmal Shadow’s body froze. Her body fortification was destroyed by the wind, and her back was struck with a solid hit. She grunted, and a mouthful of blood sprayed in the air.

Bang!

A large hole was formed on the roof, and she crashed into the palace beneath her like a cannonball.

“Tower master!”

“Save her!”

Wu Kuo and the others had seized the time to recover a little of their qi and heal their injuries, but when they saw Phantasmal Shadow being hit and fall into danger, they could not be bothered that they were in bad condition and just charged forward together.

Momo gritted her teeth and appeared in front of Elder Xing to stall him. She repeatedly flicked her fingers and successfully drew the elder’s attention. He shifted his gaze away from Phantasmal Shadow and looked over.

When he spoke, there was surprise in his voice. “Throw Spirit Sphere? Whose disciple are you?”

Even though Elder Xing understood Momo’s goal, the people in front of him were either injured or disabled. They could not be of any threat. He could subjugate them with the flip of his hand, so it was impossible for them to get out!

He threw a palm-generated wind forward and easily swept Wu Kuo and the others into the palace. The ease with which he did it showed the attitude of an elite martial artist.

“Wind God.”

Once Momo became certain that Wu Kuo and the others were in no danger, she was not in a hurry to attack.

Happy was the only person who could fight against elites at this level alone. No one else among them could go up against Elder Xing for even one round.

The elder did not show any intention to attack immediately though, so she decided to go along with his flow and stall for time for Phantasmal Shadow as well as Happy.

As long as Happy arrived, everyone would be safe!

Whoosh!

Wu Kuo and the others learned their lesson. When they saw that Elder Xing no longer approached them and that his attention was attracted by Momo, it meant that Phantasmal Shadow would also not be in danger for the time being. They relaxed then, sat down cross-legged, ate Dew Pills, and quickly recovered their injuries and restored their qi.

“Wind God?” Elder Xing had a contemplative expression on his face. Then, he shook his head gently. “Never heard of him. I haven’t been in the world of martial artists for more than thirty years, and I don’t know many people. There is no longer anyone who can recognize me, Lightning Executioner Xing Wuzui.”

Lightning Executioner!

Momo and the others could smell an incredibly bloody stench from the title.

By the looks of it, Xing Wuzui had dyed his hands red with quite a lot of martial artists’ blood!

“Alright.” After saying that, Elder Xing looked at the corpses of the evil cult disciples below him, and the nostalgic expression on his face disappeared to reveal great killing intent. “You can consider all your desires in life fulfilled for being able to die in my hands!”

“I don’t think so.” Momo took a step back and fell into a defensive stance.

Elder Xing had a derisive look on his face. He swung his hand, and when a black gust of wind stirred up, he vanished from Momo’s sight.

When Momo noticed that and quickly found Elder Xing’s tracks, he had already appeared behind her without a sound, and with a palm strike as fast as lightning, he cut down at her neck!
