Chapter 401: Inherited Legacy

Happy did not receive many rewards from Manor Master. Aside from a grade one masterpiece—Golden Silver Hoop—and a Life-Stealing Golden Silver Hoop that could only be practiced in Life and Death Realm, he received nothing else.

Happy carefully put away the manual and the weapon before he returned to Black Willow Mountain Manor. He received some rather good medicinal pills, two high-tier martial arts manuals, some jade items, some antiques, and some caligraphy paintings. He looted the place until his bag was full before he stopped.

When he returned to the entrance of the artificial mountain, he found that the underground chamber had collapsed and had been sealed. Momo stood in the pavilion with a despondent expression. Her white veil swayed gently in the wind, and she looked very pitiful.

“Are you alright?”

Momo said nothing initially. Only after a while did she look at Happy and say quietly, “Master has passed away.”

“At the very least, he fulfilled his wish. Please don’t be overwhelmed by grief.” Happy stared at her in pity. Even though it was just a game, Momo had inherited Wind God’s legacy, and she was his disciple in name.

Momo nodded. She was silent for a long while before she spoke again, “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to gain such a fortuitous chance. I owe you one again…”

“You’re welcome.” Happy smiled, and his tone changed. “Do you mind telling me what legacy you gained? Senior Wind God is very strong, but I’ve never heard of him before. I’m really curious of his ultimate technique.”

Momo answered without hesitation. “Master is a martial arts genius and a martial arts addict. The martial arts he was once known for in the world of martial artists is Wind God Technique. Later on, he practiced the matchless techniques from the six great system allocated sects and many of the famous martial artists. He mastered them by gaining a comprehensive understanding of them.

“His strength is unfathomable. Master said that I cannot practice the other matchless martial arts from other sects because it will be very easy to cause them to go after my life. That’s why he only taught me Wind God Technique and Throw Spirit Sphere.”

Once she finished speaking, Momo noticed that Happy rubbed his nose and looked as if he wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. She could not help but be stunned.

“What’s wrong with you?”

“It’s nothing. I just suddenly realized that you will truly feel frustrated when you compare yourself to others.” Happy laughed wryly before he began walking in the pavilion. “Some people aren’t able to get even a single ultimate technique their whole lives, and some have to rack their brains before they can get the legacy of a peerless martial artist, but some people can get two ultimate techniques in one go, and they can even say… that they only obtained two. If you tell others about it, you will definitely drive many people flying into a rage.”

Momo was speechless. She gracefully stood where she was.

‘What a cold girl.’ Happy sighed in his heart before he wrapped his fist in his palm and said, “Alright, since the matter is settled now, I should get going. Let’s split up here. We’ll meet again one day.”

“Wait.” Momo finally spoke again. Happy could sense her gaze from behind the white veil, and her voice seemed to have returned to its usual cold and airiness. “The six great system-allocated sects will surround and attack Light Summit six days later. Do you want to go together later? At least we’ll have a companion on our way.”

‘This girl isn’t completely unreasonable.’ Naturally, Happy did not say that out loud. He pondered it in his heart before nodding. “Alright, we’ll gather here at that time.”

“It’s a promise.” After saying that, Momo summoned her Hoof Shadow.

Happy was rendered speechless. He did not expect that the girl would be so straightforward. He thought that she had something else to say.

“Wait,” Happy called out to Momo while she was about to flip on her horse. He then reminded her with a grave tone, “Wind God Technique should be a set of martial art techniques. You will probably take a long time to practice them, so try to practice Throw Spirit Sphere over the next couple days.

“This martial art should be very powerful, so you’ll have plenty of places where you can use it. The weapons will be blind when we fight against Light Summit. We should be able to use it.”

Momo nodded before saying, “I will pay attention to it. Let’s meet again in the future.”

She then quickly struck her horse and left. She did not stay for even a moment.

Happy watched Momo leave, then turned his head around and looked at Black Willow Mountain Manor, which had been destroyed. He summoned his Hood Shadow, and he jumped out through a gap in the broken wall to head back to Vast Martial City.

Some time after he left, players realized that the formerly infamous Black Willow Mountain Manor had been reduced to an abandoned and dilapidated manor at some unknown point in time. There was no one inside it anymore.

When Happy returned to Vast Martial City, he immediately sent Silver Wolf the manual for Freezing Palm. As he went over what had happened, he thought about many things. Freezing Palm was a very powerful high-tier martial art, but only especially powerful people would be able to bring out its essence.

Silver Wolf once relied on a set of killing techniques to challenge people with higher qi realms in Happy’s previous life. The parting hooks had to be one of his methods to kill, but his main strength came from his barehanded techniques. Even though Happy wanted to practice them himself, it was a pity that he did not have any suitable weapons. Besides, he would need at least three months to push Red Flame Palm to Grandmaster Realm. That time requirement was too big, and it did not fit his situation.

The current Silver Wolf, however, did not actually have many high-tier martial arts.

If Happy gave Freezing Palms to someone else in Mu Clan, perhaps he would help create a rather decent top-tier fighter, but if he gave that manual to Silver Wolf, it would be the same as him getting an ultimate technique. If he practiced Red Flame Palm, he would have absolute certainty in winning against Blood Robes who had Star Sucking Great Skill.

[Thanks,] Silver Wolf quickly replied. It was clear that he liked the gift very much.

Happy also had a few other high-tier martial arts. Life-stealing Golden Silver Hoop and Golden Silver Hoop could be considered to be special skills. Since they were a unique martial art and weapon, they had both offense and defense. The weapon also had astonishing starting stat of more than seven hundred points in damage. The defense of the weapon itself was also more than four hundred points.

It had a certain chance of being able to tear through defense, and to most players, that was not that much inferior to Red Flame Palm. Happy sent it to Thunderous Battle and asked him to put it in the clan storage. The contribution points required to get it were nearly as high as an ultimate technique.

That was why he did not expect that once Life-stealing Golden Silver Hoop and the weapon were placed in the clan storage, they would immediately be bought by someone.

When Happy received news of it, he frowned.

“You set the contribution point to be worth five million taels of silver, right?”

“That’s right.” Thunderous Battle’s answer left Happy dazed. “The person who bought it is Black Rose Clan’s master, Black Rose.”

“Her?”

“Is there a problem?”

Happy shook his head when he was faced with Thunderous Battle’s question. “No, it’s fine. Since she wants it, she can have it.”

That martial art was unique and the skill required to control it was rather great, so it was not something that a normal person could master. Black Rose could be considered to be a professional player, so she should be able to master it. The skill would be able to show off its radiance.

Happy put in the other loot he obtained from Black Willow Mountain Manor, and when he did some calculations, he noticed that he had obtained a total profit of more than six million, and that was if he did not count in the two unique palm techniques.

However, his greatest gain was his Shadowless Knife increasing by one realm. It allowed him to head straight into Life and Death Realm. Even though he still needed to continue practicing to increase his qi, he had managed to break free of the awkward situation where he would drop to Mystical Realm the moment he activated Life and Death Realm when he headed to Light Summit.

Once Happy put all the items into the bank, he cast his gaze on the box he had placed at the top of his personal storage.

It was a brocade box!

More than two months had passed since the emperor’s birthday was over.

He had set it aside and ignored it. Now, since the battle at Light Summit was about to occur, it was time for him to open it.

He brought out the brocade box and placed it into his Universe Bag. Then, he quickly headed to an inn nearby, booked a room, closed the door, and placed the brocade box on the table.
