Sword Among Us Chapter 390 – Extreme Grinding

Chapter 390: Extreme Grinding

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation  Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

During the last half a month, there were very few people who entered the royal mausoleum!

Those who did come were no longer people from Vast Martial City, but from other places, and they were not especially powerful either, because the people in Vast Martial City and the people on the Dragon Rank and Phoenix Rank knew very clearly that the resources in the royal mausoleum had been monopolized by Happy. Even if they entered too, no one could snatch a lot of loot from his hands.

Still, there were some blind martial artists who thought highly of themselves and tried to snatch Happy’s resources.

However, those who frequented the royal mausoleum knew that the top ranked player on the Famous People Rank who could destroy Class One Hall’s branch alone was not someone with a good temper.

Happy only needed to activate his Wind Spirit Spin for a few ants to “accidentally” enter his attack range, and the end would be there. He would destroy their body fortifications with one slash, and the second slash coming right after the first would take their lives.

Happy attacked without showing mercy, and once he was done, he did not even cast a glance at his victims before leaving.

After realizing that, the people from Vast Martial City treated the royal mausoleum as forbidden ground!

The elites on the Dragon Rank and Phoenix Rank would not waste their time to venture far and wide just for a little bit of resources, especially when they even had to do so at the risk of offending Happy.

Once there were few people around, Happy strolled happily around the royal mausoleum by himself.

Right then, all he needed to do was let the people who wanted to try their luck to enter the royal mausoleum first. He could ignore the splitting throwing knives in the hall once he went inside and just wait quietly. He allowed the Knife-throwing Ninjas kill the martial artists while he hid by the side and watched. Once most of the people were dead, he would wrap things up calmly.

Sometimes, an elite would enter the royal mausoleum. When they showed the slightest intention to snatch the resources, Happy did not attack them, but when he entered the second level, he would personally pass by the area with Ninja King and leave once he said his greetings. Then, he would leave behind the elite who would long to cry but be unable while faced with a fierce and aggressive Moksha Realm boss…

Just like that, for half a month, there was basically no one who could enter the second level of the royal mausoleum.

Hence, Happy became at ease, and he boldly carried out his great plan to train.

His calm life was only interrupted when a new Life and Death Realm player who had just entered the Dragon Rank appeared in the royal mausoleum.

That person also revealed the secret behind why Happy stayed in the royal mausoleum for a long period of time.

*****

He was training there!

Aside from obtaining most of the masterpieces in the royal mausoleum and killing most of the ninjas, Happy left the large group of ninjas in the hall of the second level as well as Ninja King. Then, he activated a very commonly seen high-tier body fortification technique, Rotating Circle Barrier, to withstand the attacks from Ninja King and the Knife-throwing Ninjas.

Their attacks were as aggressive as a tidal wave!

The Knife-throwing Ninjas’ splitting throwing knives filled the hall, and Shadow Warriors closed in to attack.

Happy’s body fortification could absorb a lot of damage within a short amount of time, and his experience increased by leaps and bounds.

While he did that, two men in Golden Armor moved back and forth through the hall. One of them had a sword, and the other swung his fists.

Ninja King’s attacks were equivalent to eight Life and Death Realm enemies’ attacks.

Since there were many other ninjas as well, the experience Happy absorbed was equivalent to three or four times the amount of experience he could receive outside.

At the moment the Life and Death Realm player entered the hall of the royal mausoleum, he was immediately dumbfounded!

When he saw that there were still plenty of ninjas in the hall, he ignored Happy’s warning and pounced over in glee. He was prepared to fill up his pocket and get some masterpieces.

But the moment he killed two ninjas, a sword force that was as fast as a shooting star rose from among the ninjas and shot through his body.

“Either you leave, or die!”

The cold voice finally made the proud Life and Death Realm player sense the abilities of the rumored top-ranked player on the Famous People Rank. He dragged his heavily injured body away and staggered out of the hall without trying to use any tricks. He left the royal mausoleum, but after the accident, the battle replay he uploaded on the official website stirred up quite the commotion.

Many experienced players expressed their opinions!

[This is an extreme way of training!]

[Looks like Happy is also striving to reach Life and Death Realm.]

[Duh. Class One Hall is growing stronger. If Happy doesn’t work harder, even Mu Clan will be ruined.]

[The attacks of those ninjas in the royal mausoleum is pretty good, and there are plenty of them as well. It’s indeed a good training spot. But there aren’t many people who can train in those conditions right now.]

[The attribute of Golden Armor that allows us to retain our posture makes it one of the best for training. It can help us retain our attack speed. His weapon can also increase his attack speed. When it comes to practicing sword techniques, Happy’s equipment advantage is great!]

[Now, everyone is catching up in terms of their qi realms. You won’t be able to get high class battle assessments so easily anymore. Happy should have seen through this, which is why he thought of this method that can allow him to practice three martial arts at the same time.]

[Two of them are active skills, and one of them is a passive skill. There’s no need for us to mention the active skills. With Happy’s weapon and armor, his speed won’t be any slower than ours. But his method to train that high-tier body fortification is amazing…

[If he can persevere, the speed at which he increases its realm will be astonishing. Even though having a second high-tier body fortification technique won’t be very useful, the speed at which he can transform his qi will be very shocking! Reaching 320 qi points is definitely Happy’s goal!]

A lot of people betrayed that they were very envious of Happy’s advantage. His high-tier body fortification’s training alone was already three times faster than a normal person’s!

At the same time the official website was in commotion, Class One Hall also became nervous.

“Happy is practicing a low-tier sword technique! I heard that there is a quest in Murong Clan in which a player is supposed to learn one hundred martial arts. It’s to inherit the ultimate technique, Shifting Stars. He only needs to learn them up to the tenth realm, and if he’s fast, pushing one low-tier martial art to the tenth realm isn’t too much of a problem. If Happy completes this quest and gets his second ultimate technique, there will be very few people who can control him!”

The person who said that was Class One Hall’s Vice Hall Master Blood Robes.

Dream Clouds and Barren Murderer’s expressions were very unpleasant.

They knew very well just how great were ultimate techniques.

With the power of their guild, the three of them had inherited different ultimate techniques.

Happy already had one mysterious ultimate technique, and it was because of this that he never lost when it came to one-on-one fights and could firmly secure his spot as the top-ranked player on the Famous People Rank.

If he could get one more, especially an amazing divine martial art such as Shifting Stars, which could control the situation of a chaotic battle, he would definitely become someone very troublesome.

“Hall master… if I’m not wrong, Happy’s Rotating Circle Barrier has almost reached great completion. He should have started practicing it since that day. Once he reaches great completion, he will enter Life and Death Realm,” Chief Lonesome Night said tentatively.

Class One Hall would have been happy to see Happy continue to farm masterpieces from the royal mausoleum. But Happy not neglecting his training was something they did not want to see.

Dream Clouds nodded. “From this, we can be certain that Happy’s qi has already reached 315. He should reach Life and Death Realm in a few days.”

“Mu Clan’s development is also much faster than what we expected. Thunderous Battle is indeed a talent. He might be big and look careless, and he brought in a lot of players focusing on occupations recklessly and outrageously, but when it comes to refinement, his development is indeed far more stable than ours, and they ran into far fewer obstacles than we did.

“Now, he continuously uses second-echelon middle-grade masterpieces in exchange for grade two masterpieces, and he uses second-echelon grade two masterpieces in exchange for grade one masterpieces. His business is going very well,” Barren Murderer said.

“This isn’t Thunderous Battle’s idea,” Blood Robes said, contradicting Barren Murderer’s words. He paused for a moment before he explained with a heavy tone. “The person who suggested the details is Happy. In truth, he mentioned it to Beautiful Robes Faction a month ago, but Mu Clan only had the ability to push forward with it after Beautiful Robes Faction was destroyed.

“This guy not only has astonishing gaming talents, but he’s also very good with fortuitous events in the game and seizing his chances. He’s a great opponent. Dream Clouds, I think it’s time for that person to enter the royal mausoleum. We can’t let Happy develop any further. If this continues, it won’t be beneficial for us.”

When the others heard Blood Robes’ suggestion, their spirits lifted, and they looked at Dream Clouds.

They had decided to destroy Beautiful Robes Faction because of his appearance. It had made them believe that they had gained the ability to control Happy from then on.

Dream Clouds’ furrowed eyebrows suddenly relaxed. As she smiled, she shook her head slowly. “No. It’s not the time yet. Based on what he said, he found an interesting place a few days ago, and he won’t leave it for some time.”
