Chapter 145: Welcome Home

In the afternoon, Mo Yan and Luo Tao strolled around Jing City and bought some specialty products for her mother and Mo Cheng.

She didn’t believe everything Mo Lian said.

In the evening, the two of them arrived at the airport two hours earlier. Mo Yan didn’t know why, but she felt that Luo Tao seemed a little uncomfortable.

“Luo Tao, what’s wrong?” Mo Yan asked.

Luo Tao frowned and looked around. He shook his head and said, “Nothing.”

In the past, he usually took a private plane or a first-class cabin. This was the first time that he had waited for him in the airport lobby like this.

Mo Yan thought of the high-speed train that he took to the capital city. He should have never taken a plane before, so she understood his discomfort.

Although the two of them had very different thoughts, they came to the same conclusion, which was that they would not continue this topic.

Before boarding the plane, Mo Yan vaguely mentioned a few things about taking a plane. Luo Tao found it funny at first, but when he thought about Luo Tao’s identity, he understood her intention.

It was already very late when the two of them arrived in C City, so they directly took a taxi back to their small rental house.

The moment the lights were turned on, Mo Yan, who was walking in front, suddenly turned around and hugged Luo Tao, saying, “Welcome home.”

Luo Tao was stunned by her sudden action, then he chuckled and said, “You too, welcome home.”

The house was not big, but it was a place that could be called home by the two of them.

The two of them had been tormenting themselves for the whole day. Mo Yan originally wanted to make some supper, but was stopped by Luo Tao, who told her to wash up first while he ordered two takeout meals.

Taking a shower was not a problem, but her injuries were not completely healed. It would hurt if she touched them.

Standing in front of the mirror, Mo Yan looked at the wounds all over her body and could not help but sigh. For the past few days, she had used a towel to wipe her body. She had the help of the nurses in the hospital, but now only she and Luo Tao were left…

Mo Yan did not have a plan, so she could only wash the other parts of her body first.

The moment the water rushed into her body, Mo Yan suddenly shivered. There were only three words in her mind. It really hurt.

After about half an hour, Mo Yan had washed the other parts of her body, but the injury on her back was still difficult for her to clean. If she did not clean her body, it would be difficult to apply medicine.

Seeing that the sound of washing had stopped and Mo Yan still did not come out, Luo Tao could not help but ask what was wrong.

Mo Yan’s face was flushed red. It seemed that there was only one way now.

After thinking for a long time, Mo Yan finally opened her mouth, “Luo Tao, can you help me wipe my back?”

Because Mo Yan’s voice was soft through the door, Luo Tao only knew that she was talking and didn’t hear clearly what she said, so Luo Tao walked to the door and asked again.

“I said, can you help me wipe my back? Otherwise, I can’t apply the medicine.”

The more Mo Yan spoke, the redder her face became. It was as if blood was dripping from it.

Luo Tao, who was outside the door, seemed to be stunned as well. He did not make a sound for a long time.

Just as Mo Yan was about to think of another way, Luo Tao opened his mouth. His voice seemed to be a little hoarse.

“Okay.”

Mo Yan used a towel to cover her body. When she opened the door, the redness on her face had already spread throughout her entire body. Along with the cover of the water vapor, she seemed to have become a ripe fruit, waiting to be picked.

Luo Tao’s Adam’s apple rolled. His mouth was dry and his tongue was parched. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

“Luo… Luo Tao.” Mo Yan became even more shy from being stared at. Her voice even trembled slightly.

“Sit properly. I’ll help you wipe your back.”

“Okay.” Mo Yan bit her lower lip and nodded.

Mo Yan turned the joint of the towel behind her and sat on the plastic stool. She used her arms to clamp the towel on both sides to prevent it from falling off, only revealing her snow-white back.

Luo Tao stared at Mo Yan’s every move, and his Adam’s apple moved even more violently. His gaze followed the back of Mo Yan’s head and slid down to her fair neck. Below her was her fair shoulders that were as smooth as jade, and further down, the wounds that he saw made the thoughts in Luo Tao’s mind instantly disappear without a trace.

Seeing his expression, Mo Yan asked, “What’s wrong?”

Luo Tao did not answer. Instead, he placed a warm hand on Mo Yan’s shoulder, causing Mo Yan to tremble uncontrollably.

“Luo Tao.” Mo Yan’s voice was soft as she softly called out the name of the person behind her.

“Does it hurt?”

Luo Tao’s voice was filled with pity.

Mo Yan resisted the urge to cry and said, “It doesn’t hurt.”
