Looking at Mo Yan’s flushed face and fiery eyes, Qin Yuan realized that something was wrong. He tried to appease her, “Don’t worry, don’t be angry with me. I can buy you a bag…”

Qin Yuan was used to appeasing girls by buying them things. It was useless to Mo Yan who was offended.

Mo Yan found that although Qin Yuan’s words were a little insensitive, he was physically very well-behaved. He had no intention of molesting her. Mo Yan calmed down and took a deep breath, she said, “Boss Qin, regardless of your intentions for helping me, I will first thank you for your good intentions. Because of you, my mother has the money for her surgery. You are our family’s benefactor. But…”

Mo Yan’s tone changed, she said coldly, “I am already married. I love my husband very much. Please don’t have any other wicked thoughts! Think of it as you just lent me money. I will definitely return it to you as soon as possible with interest!”

After saying that, Mo Yan picked up her bag and stood up to leave.

Luo Tao paced around the house in a frustrated mood, but he could not tell what exactly he was unhappy about. Just as he was in a dilemma, Qin Yuan called him again.

“Huo Zhen, what should we do? Your wife scolded me and left in a huff!” Qin Yuan whined on the other end of the phone.

“She’s angry? Did you bully her?” Luo Tao’s voice suddenly turned cold as he said in a low voice.

“No, I didn’t do anything! She told me not to have any wicked thoughts and said that the money would be returned to me with interest!” Qin Yuan was shocked and quickly explained.

Mo Yan told Qin Yuan not to have any wicked thoughts? Luo Tao was stunned when he heard that. He suddenly felt that the frustration in his heart had lessened a lot.

“What did she say to you?” Luo Tao asked.

“Uh, she first thanked me for my kindness and said that I was her family’s benefactor. She also said that she was married and that she loved her husband very much or something.” Qin Yuan tried hard to recall. Suddenly, recalling what she said, he said in surprise, “Does she really think of me as her benefactor?”

Hearing Qin Yuan’s nonsensical words, the corner of Luo Tao’s mouth twitched, and he hung up the phone without saying a word.

However, after hanging up the phone, he recalled what Mo Yan had said, “I love my husband very much.” He could not help but chuckle.

What a silly and innocent woman!

Luo Tao’s mood suddenly improved, so he decided to tidy up the house, mop the floor, and clean the windows.

When Mo Yan returned home, she saw Luo Tao wiping his hands and sitting on the sofa.

Luo Tao’s eyes were smiling. Just as he was about to talk to Mo Yan, he saw Mo Yan put her hands on her hips with an unpleasant expression and scolded, “Luo Tao, you’ve been at home all day. Can’t you cook dinner at night?”

Luo Tao was stunned. Then, he stood up and said innocently, “Didn’t you come back to cook?”

Moreover, he didn’t know how to cook at all! In the past, when he was alone in the small village, he would just cook random ingredients, and ate them.

Hearing this, Mo Yan became even angrier.

Today, in the company, Chen Ya bullied her and made her suffer for a whole day. Then, she learned about what Qin Yuan had done and became even angrier. She previously thought that her father paid for her mother’s treatment because he had a conscience. However, she found out that it was actually because Qin Yuan forced him to!

Thinking of this, Mo Yan felt wronged and angry. Moreover, having to cook dinner right after she came home? This was so unfair!

Hence, Mo Yan scolded again, “I do everything at home. Even if you don’t work, you should at least split the housework with me! I work very hard every day and I even get bullied by other people. I…”

As she spoke, Mo Yan felt more and more wronged. Tears fell down, and crystal clear tears flowed down her fair cheeks.

It was the first time that he saw Mo Yan Cry. Luo Tao was so scared and he didn’t know what to do. He quickly went to get a tissue and tried to say something incoherently, “Do you think it’s irresponsible for me not to go out to work?”

Seeing Luo Tao rush to get a tissue, Mo Yan took it and wiped her tears. She pursed her lips and was worried that Luo Tao would blame himself. She explained, “I’m not complaining that you don’t go out to work. In this society, it’s normal for women to work outside while men do housework at home. It’s just that since we’re husband and wife, we should cooperate and live a good life together.”

“Yes, you’re right.” Looking at Mo Yan’s clear and clean eyes after she finished crying, Luo Tao felt his heart ache. He helped her wipe away her remaining tears and answered obediently.
