Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 356: Uproar

Chapter 356: Uproar

“Prince Lin Xiao had suffered, getting lost in his childhood and only found later on. He’s a brave and courageous young man. Princess Lan Yi Hua is a beautiful and pretty young lady. The two are fated to be together and the Emperor decreed that this union might be the best for them.”

Prince Lin Xiao?

By this time, everyone had a dull expression on their faces. They were not surprised that Princess Lan Yi Hua would end up with Lin Xiao because the two practically had been together ever since the very first day they met in the academy.

However, Lin Xiao was a prince?

A PRINCE?

“Accept the decree,” the man continued.

Lin Xiao stepped forward. “This subject humbly accepts the decree.”

However, it was hard for him to erase the smile on his face. Those others could clearly see that he was happy to be able to end up with the princess. But that was not important to them right now.

The news that Lin Xiao was a prince was quickly spread all across the entire Sun Dragon Academy.

Who didn’t know Lin Xiao?

A troublemaker who didn’t care about status and dared to even crippled Prince Lin Kai, who later ended up died because of some other princes. As one of the few who had the right to contend for the throne, it was clear that Prince Lin Kai had so many enemies back then.

Now that Lin Xiao was also a prince, would he try to fight against the other two?

Just the thought excites so many people.

“Damn! When I first heard of a courageous disciple who dared to go against the princes, I was already shocked to death. Now that I know he’s actually a prince, my blood is boiling with anticipation.”

“Do you think that he’s going to try entering the Dragon Pavilion Hall to figure out whether he had the right to get the throne or not?”

“Whoa! If he truly has the right, it’ll be more exciting.”

“Another opponent for the princes?”

“Really?”

“Hey, have you heard that he’s also getting married to Princess Lan Yi Hua? Why did he look so happy to be engaged to that trash, ah?”

“Eh, you’re right!”

The news about Lin Xiao being a prince caused storm in Sun Dragon Academy. It seemed that even if the sun was to rise from the west, it wouldn’t cause as much upheaval as the news brought by Lin Xiao being a prince.

Naturally, the three other princes also heard about it but they didn’t say anything in response.

As long as Lin Xiao didn’t have the capability to open Dragon Pavilion Hall, he was not their opponent. However, it was still true that the news about him still infuriated some people.

Prang!

“So that b*stard is a prince, huh?” Lin Hong smashed the cup in front of him. He was currently training and the news regarding the sudden imperial edict startled him.

How could he forget the fact that Lin Xiao had humiliated him before. Now that the other party had the same status as him… he found him to be an even bigger eyesore than before.

“Your Highness, he might be a prince, but it’ll not erase the fact that he lived as country bumpkin for 18 years of his life.”

“Yes. He definitely can’t be compared to someone like you, Your Highness!”

Lin Hong snorted and looked into a distance. His lips curled to form a sneer. “Spread the word. Don’t let him have easy time in Sun Dragon Academy!”

“YES!”

Looking at the front Lin Hong felt that things were not going any better for him. The other opponents for him were all too strong!

The news that was circulated right afterwards was the bet Lin Xiao had with a teacher.

The fact that the time for the bet was almost up was also quickly spread to everyone. They were all now feeling extremely excited and wanted to know how the result of the bet would be.

At this moment, Lin Xiao was still receiving the edict.

The eunuch looked at Lin Xiao with a complicated feeling. But no matter what storm was brewing in the palace, he was simply doing his job as the eunuch. “His Majesty also wished for you to pay a visit to Dragon Pavilion Hall in the future. If you don’t know the places, you may ask your brothers.”

“I understand.”

Lin Xiao naturally knew that the Emperor wanted to know whether he had the ability to open the pavilion or not. Lin Xiao could open it but he was not sure whether he should show it to the Emperor or not.

He paused for a moment. “Do I have to do it now?”

“There’s no need.” The eunuch smiled. “Your Highness had just returned from the frontline and must be tired. Please take a rest for the time being.”

“Thank you very much.” Lin Xiao smiled and chatted a bit more with the eunuch to get some information regarding the palace. From him, he found out that the palace was only calm on the surface while there were actually a lot of undercurrent battles.

After he was done, Lin Xiao looked at his friends.

“Let’s go inside.”

“Yes.”

The people who delivered the decree had already left, so Lin Xiao brought the decree with him inside. He glanced at Princess Lan Yi Hua. “Well, now that you’ll be mine, when do you want to hold the wedding?”

“Wha…?” Princess Lan Yi Hua’s face turned beet red. She humped. “You haven’t even proposed to me and you want to have wedding straight away?”

“Oh, right. I’ll prepare it right away.”

“You.. stop that! You have to finish your bet first!”

“Ah, okay, okay!”

The others watched the two of them bickered and smiled. For some reason, now they feel much better when looking at the two of them despite the fact that they were only engaged right now and Lin Xiao still needed to fulfill his duty to give betrothal gifts.
