Rise of the Great Emperor Chapter 69: The Lake

Chapter 69: The Lake

“Ahh! B******** why don’t you attack that B********!”

The sound of cursing could be heard as Elder Xu was ambushed by another group of animals. He was trying to follow Lin Xiao into the forest, but he could see that the beasts wouldn’t let him off alone.

He had to fight continuously, yet the figure in front of him was only walking leisurely with the beasts blocking his route.

His heart was bleeding.

How come the animals didn’t attack that rotten child and instead attacked him relentlessly like this?

“Stop there! YOU %^&*(!”

Lin Xiao purposely slowed down while trying to recover his Qi. He looked at the haggard Elder Xu with amusement. After getting attacked several times, Elder Xu no longer looked like the imposing elder anymore.

His robe was tattered with several holes. His sleeves were also torn because an animal bit it away. His hair was also messy because he had to fight several times. If one didn’t know any better, they wouldn’t be able to differentiate him from a beggar.

“Stop there Lin Xiao!”

“Why should I stop?”

“AAAAAAAAa Motherf********!”

Looking at the animals purposely evading him, Lin Xiao was also curious himself. He didn’t understand why the animals wouldn’t attack him yet there were many times when the animals attacked him outside.

Why was it different when it came to the north forest?

His vision landed on the lake not far from him. After walking for some time, he had almost arrived by the lake. Of course, his appearance was still the same as before, dashing and handsome. On the other hand, Elder Xu behind him looked like a beggar.

Bang!

*pant* *pant*

Elder Xu was already at his wits end, but he knew that if he turned around right now, there might be more beasts waiting for him inside the forest.

“You…”

Swish!

At this time, Elder Xu saw a shadow crept to him from the right side. He raised his hand, but he failed to block in time.

Bang!

With a loud voice, he was thrown to the back, crashing onto the tree. Before he could react again, Lin Xiao had already attacked once more. Using Mountain Punch, he continuously punched at Elder Xu.

With Elder Xu’s current battered condition, he was not a match against Lin Xiao, who was still as energetic as ever.

*cough*

“You Bastard! Do you think…”

Bang!

Lin Xiao punched once more. There was only coldness in his eyes when he saw Elder Xu. He knew very well that if it was not because the forest was strange, he wouldn’t be able to face Elder Xu on his own.

If he didn’t attack when Elder Xu was down, he would be the one to die in Elder Xu’s hand.

The principle to destroy what you couldn’t get was something he had heard a lot in the village. Shopkeeper Wang had warned him in the past that if he met with someone, it would be better to not let any loose end.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Tep!

Stopping his attack, Lin Xiao looked at the bloody figure in front of him. His own fist was already covered in blood thanks to the attack just now, but he didn’t care for anything. Looking at Elder Xu in front of him, he took a deep breath.

This is his first time killing human head on.

In the past, Lin Xiao only killed animals because he needed to eat. Without meat, he knew that he wouldn’t be that strong. And now, he was killing human. The feeling was strange.

‘If I don’t kill him, he’ll kill me.’

Repeating the same sentence in his mind a few times, Lin Xiao walked away from the location. He always knew that Mountain Punch was very powerful and if it was used properly, it might kill his opponent.

And now, it was proven to be true.

Killing someone…

In this man eat man world, was it that strange to have his own hand stained with blood?

Lin Xiao soon calmed down and entered the lake. The cold water seemed to wake him up from his daydream as he looked at his own reflection. It was showing a youth around the age of 15 years old that was looking back at the water with weird expression.

He no longer turned around, so he didn’t realize that several beasts approached the place where he killed Elder Xu. They gnawed on the meat and left nothing there.

Everything was clean.

Splash!

‘Let’s check the place.’

Lin Xiao didn’t feel like turning back. His brother and Wenren Yu should be at the save place, so he better did something else. Since he was already here, he would rather check the Emperor’s Inheritance out of curiosity.

If that monster came out again, he would just ran away as fast as possible.
