Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack Chapter 165 – Refund

Chapter 165: Refund

“Let’s not create a ruckus in their store anymore.” Fang Xinxin ignored them and turned to leave the place.

But Long Shuhai refused to give up. He gave a suggestion to Fang Manxue. “Why don’t you ask the store employees to help you exchange the items for something else of the same price?”

“I already said that there’s nothing that I like here!” If they weren’t out in the public, Fang Manxue would surely have lost her temper.

She gritted her teeth and said, “I’m so angry. Quickly ask Bai Qinghao to refund us twice the amount!”

Upon hearing her words, the employees and store manager were envious.

The store manager exclaimed. “It’s sure good to be Bai Qinghao’s fiancée. After spending three hundred thousand dollars, you can actually gain twice the amount. CEO Bai must really like you.”

“Of course.” Fang Manxue lifted her chin arrogantly.

She enjoyed being praised in this way, to be envied, to be fawned over.

After leaving the store, Long Shuhai immediately made a call to the Sheng Shi Group. Fang Manxue was right next to him.

“Please come again!” The store manager and her employees stood in a line to bow respectfully to the two.

“Hmph, after I marry Bai Qinghao, it’ll be a small matter for me to buy more than a hundred such stores.” Fang Manxue harrumph coldly. Right now, even spending a mere three hundred thousand dollars caused their hearts to hurt.

Although her second uncle had paid up, his money was basically her money. There was no difference.

“Yes, yes, yes.” The store manager quickly nodded in agreement.

Who would dare to provoke Bai Qinghao’s fiancée? She gave them an apologetic smile.

After turning around the corner, Long Shuhai disconnected the call and grumbled to Fang Manxue. “The Sheng Shi Group’s people are too arrogant. I asked them to connect me to Bai Qinghao, but they dared to say that I’m someone unrelated, and that I have no right to speak directly to him. In the past, whenever I needed to speak to CEO Bai, they would help me transfer the line.”

Fang Manxue said, “Second uncle, I have Bai Qinghao’s phone number. Why don’t you make a call to his phone?”

“Very few people know his number.” Long Shuhai hesitated. “What if CEO Bai becomes unhappy about the call? It’ll be easy for him to figure out that you were the one who gave me the number.”

“Just tell him that Fang Xinxin was the one who asked you to call him.”

“That’s a good idea.”

Long Shuhai warily dialled Bai Qinghao’s phone number. It took more than twenty seconds before the call was answered.

Before he could speak up, the other party directly asked him. “What do you have to say?”

Long Shuhai’s heart skipped a beat in fright. He had a strange premonition that Bai Qinghao already knew what he was calling for.

Since the call had connected, Long Shuhai could only thicken his skin. “CEO Bai, I’m Long Shuhai, Xinxin’s second uncle. This afternoon, I took Xinxin and Manxue to Guang Tai Building for shopping. Xinxin is really happy. I bought her five sets of premium outfits and spent around three hundred thousand dollars. Since it’s for my third niece, this amount is really a small thing. I did it willingly, please don’t mind it…”

He went on for a while but Bai Qinghao did not respond.

The more Long Shuhai said, the more his guilty conscience weighed on him. His voice gradually became softer and softer.

Considering Bai Qinghao’s usual generosity, he should already have offered to return him twice, or even ten times the amount. Why wasn’t he saying anything?

“Since you were the one who bought the rubbish, save it for yourself to wear.”

Bai Qinghao responded coldly and hung up the call.

Long Shuhai stared at his phone for several seconds. His expression was extremely poor. “My three hundred thousand dollars are gone!”

“Bai Qinghao didn’t offer to refund you?” Fang Manxue was in disbelief.

“He told me to keep the rubbish that I bought, for myself.” Long Shuhai felt like crying. “He has no intentions of compensating us. I’m furious. That stupid wench, Fang Xinxin! She wasted so much of my money!”
