Chapter 104: Attacked (1)

After Lin Yun arranged for Kent’s residence, she left with her two classmates.

They were members of a research team and were more familiar with each other.

The tall boy was called Feng Hao. He was a standard straight man.

Feng Hao’s parents were both government officials, and his family lived in the government compound.

It seemed that under his father’s education, Feng Hao did not understand the difference between men and women.

This caused him to treat everyone as his buddy.

Jin Ying, on the other hand, had a completely different style.

She, who was originally not rich, became the richest person in the city because her father bought a lottery ticket.

After successfully entering Li’an, she still maintained her previous frugal and simple style without the slightest bit of nouveau riche behavior.

Because of this, Lin Yun liked to stay with her.

Jin Ying was a typical teenage beauty.

As the saying went, all girls liked to fall in love. And Jin Ying was the kind of person who couldn’t help but fantasize about handsome men.

Every time she saw Feng Hao and Jin Ying in conversation, Lin Yun could not help but sigh. This was simply a communication between two different species.

The three of them walked down the road to the station.

As the three of them did not have a chauffeur to pick them up, they took the opportunity to take a walk in the night and chat about the recent progress of the project.

They arrived near the station. Because Jin Ying and Lin Yun were in the opposite direction, they walked towards the other station alone.

Lin Yun was about to take out her phone from her bag when she felt a black shadow flash behind her.

Before she could react, someone knocked her shoulder heavily.

Lin Yun staggered and fell into the car.

Feng Hao let out a low cry and rushed forward. He grabbed Lin Yun’s arm and pulled her towards him.

The moment Lin Yun hit Feng Hao’s chest, a truck with headlights roared past.

Lin Yun was so shocked that she broke out in cold sweat. She wanted to look for the person who had just knocked her down, but it was too late.

However, before Lin Yun could react, Feng Hao moved first.

He turned around and rushed towards a black shadow that was running quickly.

Just as he was about to grab the dark figure, a van drove past.

The black shadow immediately crawled up. Feng Hao only had time to reach out to grab the other party’s clothes, but even then, he missed.

He stood there dejectedly.

Lin Yun ran up from behind and finally arrived beside Feng Hao.

“Feng Hao, are you alright?” Lin Yun asked with concern as she sized Feng Hao up.

Feng Hao waved his hand and said, “It’s fine! I just didn’t manage to catch him!”

Lin Yun heaved a sigh of relief. “I’m sorry! You were almost injured!”

Feng Hao looked at Lin Yun and frowned. “That person is clearly here for you! Did you offend someone?”

Lin Yun shook her head and remained silent.

Feng Hao slapped his thigh dejectedly and said, “Damn it! I didn’t see the license plate number clearly!”

Lin Yun could only reveal a faint smile. “Thank you so much for today! Let’s go back quickly!”

Feng Hao did not refuse. After all, no one knew where the danger was hidden in the middle of the night.

“I’ll send you back!” Feng Hao said firmly.

Lin Yun hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Thank you!”

Such a night was indeed dangerous. At least having someone with her would make her feel safer.

When Lin Yun and Feng Hao returned to the Lin family’s mansion, the Lin family’s banquet was about to end.

Lin Yun looked at the brightly lit room and frowned.

Feng Hao watched Lin Yun walk into the courtyard and turned to leave.

“Yo, isn’t this the ex-Miss Lin?” Ni Tang and the others were walking out of the hall. When they saw Lin Yun, they started teasing her.

Lin Yun ignored them and walked around them, preparing to head to the backyard.

Lin Yu also walked to the door and glanced at Lin Yun, ignoring her.

“Mimi, I’ll send you off!” Lin Yu said as she smiled and walked beside Mimi and the others.

Lin Yun revealed a disdainful smile and went around to the backyard.

In the hall, many guests had already left.

Lin Cheng was a little drunk and couldn’t control his body when he walked.

Wang Lan accompanied Lin Cheng and nodded at the guests.

After finally sending all the guests away, Lin Cheng and Wang Lan returned to their rooms to rest.

Lin Yu walked to Lin Yun’s door and knocked lightly. “Sister, I’m Lin Yu…”

Lin Yu shouted for a long time, but no one answered.

The expression on her face became one of embarrassment.

Just as she was about to smash the door, she heard a voice behind her. “What are you doing?”

Lin Yu was shocked. She turned around and saw Lin Yun standing behind her.
