Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire Chapter 1683 – Do not do that; let go.

Chapter 1683: Do not do that; let go.

Ji Ziming looked at Pei Ge with his deep-set eyes and spoke in a gentle voice as his lips curled. “Woman, what are you doing?”

“I’m looking at the proposal. This proposal was edited by me. Come and look at it; what do you think about it? Just speak your mind, and I’ll revise or redo it.”

Pei Ge passed a blue folder to the man. “Come and look.”

“Sure, I’ll look.”

He stood up and took the folder from her, flipping it open. He spotted a very inconspicuous part.

“Ge Ge, don’t you think that this proposal is similar to the one made by Ji Miao?” asked the man gently.

“That’s right; I revised hers. Though her proposal is really good, there are certain vague parts. Still, I know that it’s a proposal combining the company’s best features while leaving out its worst attributes.”

“It’s a really great proposal, but when you’re revising the proposal, did you notice that something is off with it?”

Ji Ziming looked at the figures on the proposal; it was different from what he had seen two days ago.

It could only mean that Ji Miao’s proposal had been switched by others or had been tampered with.

“Are you talking about these figures?”

Pei Ge doubted these figures in the past but had never suspected anyone in the company. Upon being reminded by Ji Ziming, she quickly compared the figures in this proposal from the numbers in the previous one.

Indeed, she found a mistake and, though it was just a decimal point, it was enough for the company to lose more than ten million in profit.

“Have you found it?”

His voice sounded from above her head.

“I’ve found it. I’m now thinking who’s in charge of that proposal then. Since Ji Miao was gone, my company…”

“Don’t worry, that person will very soon give himself away.”

Ji Ziming stood up and looked at the setup of the room. He finally understood how Ji Miao had managed to get the confidential document in his woman’s office.

“Why are you so sure?” asked Pei Ge. She was skeptical despite his look of confidence.

“Of course, I am sure. Perhaps you don’t trust me?”

He smiled at her. With nimble actions, he held the back of her head. Their lips inched closer, and very soon, a familiar taste was in his mouth. The sweet taste of this woman lingered in his mouth.

His tongue moved nimbly in her mouth, and she could almost not catch her breath. When she moved to take in another breath, he let go of her and said triumphantly, “My woman, you’re obedient like this.”

“Obedient? You did that to me in my office, and you’re saying that I’m obedient?”

She was so anxious because her office had transparent glass walls with black film to prevent others from seeing what was inside.

“What’s wrong? Are you afraid that people will see us kissing?”

Ji Ziming smiled evilly yet charismatically. He was very pleased with her current expression. This was his woman—his everything.

“That’s right; if others see us kissing, where will I place my face?”

Pei Ge rolled her eyes at the man and tried to chase him away to prevent him from moving about before her. Just as she raised her arm, it was grabbed by him. “Why do you want to place your face somewhere else? I have a place for you to do that; how about it? Do you want to consider it?”

He looked like a predator eyeing its prey. The woman knew that she would not have a good ending if she offended him, but she did not know that he was thinking of what poses he should strike tonight to satisfy his current urge.

“Don’t do that; let go.”

She was prepared to use her other arm to stop him from pulling hers, but before she could use any strength, she was pulled once again by him. Seeing her acting embarrassed like a little woman, he was suddenly in a much better mood.

“Ge Ge, why don’t you settle your matters earlier today so that we can head back earlier?”

His voice was alluring as he spoke into her ear, causing the latter to feel numb. She had the urge to be in his arms.

However, when she heard that he wanted to head home earlier, she regained all her senses. She looked at him warily, and just when he was not paying attention, she quickly withdrew her arms.

“I don’t want to. Don’t forget what you promised me.”

Pei Ge went back to the desk again and arranged her clothes. Her chiffon blouse, which was tucked into her skirt, was out because of his rigorous actions, making her appear disheveled.

“Sure, we’ll go home once you’re done.”

He sighed and sat on the sofa again. His phone rang at this time. It was a call from He Yun.

His eyes regained their calmness. The frosty aura around him caused Pei Ge to look up at him, only to see that he had walked to the windows to pick up the call.

“Sir, I’ve found it.”

He Yun’s excited voice was heard from the other end.

“Speak.”

Ji Ziming’s frosty voice extinguished all the excitement in his subordinate. The latter had no choice but to tell him seriously that he had found Sire Nine’s actual identity.

“Sire Nine didn’t become rich as a businessman. He’s part of an organization in the underworld, and that organization’s owner is the underworld boss. His known businesses are just fronts. It’s really weird that the person who usually shows up isn’t the actual boss. I also found out that, when madam was hit by a car in front of the aquarium before, there’s one staff working there with ties to this underworld organization.”

“Where’s that person?”

The man did not care about the skeletons hiding in the closet but rather the mysterious person who nearly killed Pei Ge then.

Although Huang Zhian had received his lesson, Ji Ziming knew very well that this matter was not as simple as it seemed, and this was not all that he wanted to investigate.
