Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is a Affectionate Spitfire Chapter 1161 – Mommy, mommy, do not abandon me.

Chapter 1161: Mommy, mommy, do not abandon me.

Stepping inside the room, Pei Ge saw the baby with his tear-stricken face.

The child’s doe eyes were swollen from crying, and his insecure gaze made one’s heart ache to look at him.

“Mom!”

When he spotted her entering the room, the boy jumped off his bed and rushed to her, grabbing her thighs with his small hands.

“Mommy, mommy, don’t abandon me…” the child sobbed, his voice sounding very pitiful.

Lowering her head to look at the child clinging onto her, she felt her heart melt.

Instinctively, she agreed to his request. “Mommy’s not leaving; mommy’s not leaving. There, there. Don’t cry.”

“Really, mom?”

The boy’s eyes lit up when he heard her response. His swollen eyes widened in joy as he continued to look at her.

“Really.”

As she spoke, she bent over to pick up the child.

She patted him gently on the head, smiling warmly.

“Mom…”

He gripped her clothes tightly, burying his head in her neck, hiding his facial expression, yet the two looked especially cozy to others.

Qu Jingwan and the rest of the Ji family, who had entered the room with her, were shocked and pained to see the child calling a stranger mom and refusing to let go of her.

They were surprised that their precious boy liked this woman so much, and their heart ached for the child who had really been scared today.

If they did not know who the boy’s biological mother was, they would think that this woman was his mother.

“Dr. Qi, our precious boy is okay, right?”

Worried about her precious grandson, Madam Ji inquired urgently to their family doctor.

The man, who was in his middle age, was a rather skilled pediatrics physician and absolutely well-versed in child psychology.

The first thing caught his attention was the child’s unstable behavior.

“Yes, the little master’s body is fine,” he replied with a smile while packing his tools, “but he’s received quite the scare today, so he’s taking Miss Regina as his mother.”

The old couple heaved a sigh of relief when they heard the doctor’s diagnosis.

“That’s good; that’s good.”

The older woman said before she looked at Pei Ge.

She felt sentimental then.

It would have been great if they had met this young lady a few years back or even a few months earlier.

That way, they could find their precious boy a mother he liked.

Sigh… There’s no point in thinking about it now.

At this thought, she looked at Qu Jingwan, who had been supporting her arm by her side this whole time.

Jingwan… isn’t too bad either.

Perceiving the worry on the young lady’s face as she regarded the child, she nodded approvingly.

The only problem was that their precious boy did not like her.

Sigh! It’s all that Qiao Jingyun’s fault!

If she did not teach him that, then their precious boy would not…

A thought flashed across her mind at this point, and she connected the dots of everything that had happened today.

Qiao Jingyun!

She must’ve put our previous boy up to everything today!

If not for her, my precious grandson would never say something like that, nor would he use his life to threaten us!

That woman! She’s so vicious!

This is her child!

At this thought, her face twisted in anger.

“Auntie, what’s wrong?”

The first person to catch her abnormality was Qu Jingwan. She had been studying the older woman closely, so she was the first one to catch the change in her expression. She then knew that the other had guessed who was behind everything.

Heh heh!

It was better now that she had realized it herself. This way, she would not have to drop clues and hints anymore.

Whether Qiao Jingyun was behind it or not, she would make sure that that woman did not get out unscathed from ruining her engagement to Ji Ziming!

At this thought, her face grew increasingly gentle and worried.

“Auntie, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

The older woman pursed her lips tightly together and looked towards her son.

“Ziming, Qiao Jingyun must be behind this! You bring her over now! I want to ask that vicious woman myself why she treated her son this way!”

Pei Ge froze when she heard the older woman’s words.

What?! That woman is behind her child’s incident?!

Isn’t she his mother?

Why… would she do something like this to her child?

She knitted her brows together, feeling disappointed with the woman.

Hearing his mother’s word, the man retracted his gaze from Pei Ge.

“Mom, I already got someone to look into the surveillance tapes. She left before we came.”

Moreover, they did not see her interacting with the child in the surveillance tapes.

“It must be her! Bring her over to me and I want to ask her myself!”

“…Okay.”

Even though he did not want to see Qiao Jingyun, at his mother’s insistence, he could only get his secretary to summon back the woman, who had left earlier tonight.
