The temperature in the car steadily rose. The heater in the car was clearly set at a normal level, yet the two people inside felt as if their whole being was on fire.

“Wuuu!”

Ji Ziming only longingly released her lips when Pei Ge’s face had turned red from lack of oxygen.

Pound, pound!

Unknown whose heartbeat it was or if it belonged to the both of them, but it pounded very fast and sounded loud in their heads.

“Hah… hah… hah…”

She finally felt alive after she had a breath of fresh air.

Suddenly, she realized something and quickly lowered her head shyly like a meek little wife.

“Are you free tomorrow?” Seeing the woman lower her head and not dare to look at him, he gently asked her this with a wry smile.

She shook her head and then nodded.

“What do you mean by that?” he asked with amusement.

“I mean that I don’t know if I’m free tomorrow. My schedule tomorrow depends on my mom. If she says there’s nothing on, then I’m free.”

“… Fine, then.” He paused for a while, then acknowledged this with a nod.

His indignant reply calmed her down at once, and she raised her head to look at him with amusement.

“Why? Do you want to ask me out tomorrow?”

“Mhm.” He lightly acknowledged this.

“Then, what have you got planned for tomorrow?” She was suddenly a little curious. This was the first time he had asked her out on a date after they had started dating! She felt a little excited and expectant just thinking about it!

“Nothing much.” He frowned a little and answered calmly, “Just a meal and a movie.”

“Pfft!” She immediately burst out laughing at his nonchalant demeanor.

“Indeed, not much planned!” She grinned at him, continuing to tease, “Didn’t your servant-cum-adviser, Mu Heng, provide you with any ideas?”

“What has this got to do with him?” He felt displeased hearing another man’s name come from her mouth.

“Weren’t last time and this time all his ideas?” She had a smile in her eyes.

His lips twitched at this and evenly rectified, “The last time was but not this time.”

“Eh?” She was flabbergasted and gawked at him.

“What do you mean?”

“This time has nothing to do with him,” he coldly clarified, feeling stifled.

“Ehhh?!” She blinked in surprise, curiously gazing at him. “If today’s not his idea… then is it yours?”

She automatically rejected that notion.

“How is that possible? It’s not in you to think up of such a romantic surprise.”

No matter how much I think of it, this isn’t something this annoying fellow is capable of! It’s totally unlikely!

“…” He felt stifled by her denial.

Seeing how his forehead was creased and eyes were narrowed into slits, as though he had just suffered great injustice, she could not help but burst out laughing.

“Okay, then. Tell me what got into your head tonight for you to buy so many fireworks to light up the sky.”

Her questioning made him fall silent for a while. Eventually, he spoke again. “… Must I really say it?”

“Mhm-hmm! Of course!” Her lips curled up as she insisted, “If not, I’ll consider it as Mu Heng’s idea.”

“…” The second half of her speech caused his lips to twitch uncontrollably. Although he was unwilling to explain this embarrassing reason to her, he had no choice but to say it because his darling girlfriend had said so.

“Then, you can’t laugh if I say it.” He peeked at her hesitantly.

She readily nodded and smiled. “Of course!”

His brows twitched slightly when she readily agreed. He coughed lightly and then his voice grew softer. “TV…”

“Huh? What TV?” She stared at him cluelessly, not getting why he had mentioned that.

She did not get what he meant at the moment. Soon, she noted his costive look.

Seeing his face, she got it.

“Pfft!” Going against her promise, she burst out laughing.

“Ha ha ha! Ziming, don’t tell me that, by ‘TV’, you meant ‘drama’? Ha ha ha!”

Amid her boisterous laughter, his face turned a few shades darker as he felt even more… awkward and gloomy.

“You said that you wouldn’t laugh!” He did not deny it but complained aggrievedly to her, instead.

“Sorry, sorry. It’s just too funny that I couldn’t hold it in… Ha ha ha!”

She continued laughing while looking at him; the smile went all the way to her heart.

What to do? I suddenly realize this man’s image in my heart totally collapsing! I’m finding this annoying fellow more and more adorable!

“No laughing.” Although he lightly scolded her, his eyes were filled with love as he gazed at her radiant smile.

“Ha ha ha! Ziming, what kind of romantic drama did you watch? I really didn’t expect you to have such a hobby. Totally! Ha ha!” She roared with laughter and ignored what he had said.

“I don’t watch it; my mom does…” He explained to her helplessly.

At this moment, he realized that it should have just said that it was Mu Heng’s idea, lest he get laughed at by her.
