Tuan Tuan looked towards the door and saw Lin Nuan standing there. He nervously grabbed on the table and tried to reach for something under his stool with his foot.

“Auntie Li, I can do it myself!” Lin Nuan felt slightly embarrassed as she tried to get her slippers, yet Auntie Li was one step ahead.

A sound came from the living room. Lin Nuan immediately looked up and saw Tuan Tuan and his stool laying on the floor.

Lin Nuan immediately put the cake on the shelf, took off her shoes, and dashed over to help Tuan Tuan up.

He seemed to have hurt himself as his eyes were slightly red. Yet he still smiled when he saw her.

Lin Nuan kneeled in front of Tuan Tuan and looked him up and down as she held his elbow. She hugged him and asked, “Are you hurt?”

Tuan Tuan shook his head and wrapped his chubby hands around her neck as he rested his head on her shoulder. “Mama…” he said as his cheeks were squished.

Auntie Li couldn’t take the scene of overwhelming cuteness.

The thing was, Lin Nuan was wearing a white hoodie with her hair tied up into a ponytail, looking like a nineteen-year-old teenager. Hence it looked slightly odd for him to call her mama.

Fu Huai’an brought her slippers for her. He loosened his tie, half-kneeled down, and left the slippers right next to her.

“Thanks…” Lin Nuan said.

Tuan Tuan turned his head and saw Fu Huai’an half-kneeling on the floor.

That collected man held her foot and gently slipped it into the slipper. Lin Nuan felt her ears grow red—the warmth of his hands, and his move made her blush.

It was difficult to imagine a man like Fu Huai’an would lower himself to do something like that.

Auntie Li was quite old and had never received an act like that from her husband of thirty years. Fu Huai’an usually looked cold—who knew he had a caring side.

Lin Nuan couldn’t understand it. All she saw was grass, a red house, a tree, and three lumps of paint underneath it. They were yellow, red, and blue.

Tuan Tuan pointed at the red one. “Mama!”

Lin Nuan smiled and patted his head. She understood and cooperated knowingly as she nodded and pointed to the yellow one. “This is Tuan Tuan…”

Tuan Tuan blushed and nodded. He then pointed at the blue one. “Papa!”

Lin Nuan nodded as he pointed at the house and looked up at her with his clear eyes. “Our home!”

Lin Nuan suddenly felt her eyes grow wet. If Xiangsi were still there, she would probably be able to give him a happy family!
