Wen Moshen felt stifled, and he couldn’t breathe properly. He put the cigarette to his lips and took out a lighter from his trouser pocket. There was total silence. It was so quiet that only the falling of raindrops and Wen Moshen’s heavy breathing could be heard.

Lin Nuan felt a stinging pain in her palms. She held on to her phone tightly as a wave of bitter sadness engulfed her.

She could not be sure before, but Lin Nuan became certain that Wen Moshen knew back then that Lin Nuan liked him.

For so many years, he knew of it but feigned ignorance and still chose to be with Gu Hanyan.

The rain continued to fall, and the air was humid and cool. The cold air swept right onto her neck, and she felt an icy cold grip her heart.
