MMORPG: The Almighty Ring Chapter 1075 – Emergency

Jiang Fei walked along the path quietly to avoid being detected by the other Primordial Celestials. Currently, Jiang Fei had no idea where he was. He only knew that the altar was just right down the mountain. That was it. Even with the help of the mini-map, he could not expand its range without first exploring the continent. Just when he had just sneaked past one or two Primordials, 0542’s voice blared in his head.

“Captain, there is an emergency communication request.”

“Who is it from?” Jiang Fei asked.

“Han Tianyu.”

“Something’s wrong.”

Jiang Fei stopped moving, which caught Miluya’s attention. A while back, Jiang Fei had distributed a special emergency communication device to all of his family members and Han Tianyu. The device was an extremely powerful communication broadcaster and receiver. It could be used to transmit signals, wherever you are. Right now, instead of calling him, Han Tianyu chose to activate the emergency signal, indicating that he must be in some sort of emergency.

“Miluya, I have to go right now. There has been an emergency,” said Jiang Fei.

“Big brother? When are you coming back?” Miluya asked. She did not need to ask about the reason why since she could hear 0542’s voice.

“Tomorrow…” said Jiang Fei. To be honest, Jiang Fei was not too sure himself. Han Tianyu had only activated the emergency signal, it could be a small issue… Jiang Fei prayed that it was a small issue.

“Alright!” Miluya answered and left Jiang Fei alone. She then patted the Guardian Lion on his furry head and said, “Come little lion, big brother is busy! Let’s go play by ourselves!”

With the Ten-Headed Guardian Lion with her, the girl was no longer alone and could cope without being with Jiang Fei for some time.

Seeing that Miluya was alright, he quickly logged out. As soon as he opened his eyes, he picked up the communication device and called Han Tianyu.

“Brother Yu, what’s wrong?”

“We are in trouble!” he answered briefly. Judging from the rustling background noise, Jiang Fei could tell that he was either running or sitting in a moving vehicle.

“I’m going to need more than that!”

“Listen. When I was helping the martial artists to escape the border, the military found us and started their chase to capture everyone. We managed to lose them for a bit but those bastards are fast!” Han Tianyu huffed.

“Where are you now? I’ll come right to where you are!” said Jiang Fei whilst getting ready to fly.

“We are bzz… Bzz… Zzzzzzzzz….” before Han Tianyu could finish his sentence, the channel was filled with static noise and the communication was cut off.

“0542!”

“I am detecting a powerful electrostatic interference.”

“Have you found them?” Jiang Fei asked. Jiang Fei was not surprised that Chinese military had possessed the means to disrupt communication. He did provide a good number of communication devices to the military. Using them, the engineers of China had reverse-engineered it and even managed to create a signal disruptor based on planet Namek’s technology.

“I have their general location.”

0542 had only managed to trace Han Tianyu’s general location, which was close to the coastline of Western China. With that knowledge, Jiang Fei summoned his giant sword and flew out of the window.

“Dear? Where are you going?”

At that moment, both Ariel and Isabella flashed themselves beside Jiang Fei.

“Good timing! Take me here!” said Jiang Fei, pointing out the location on a holographic map projected by the ring.

“Alright!” Ariel answered promptly. Even though the location was a place that she had never been, she could still teleport everyone to a nearby location that she had been to. It was faster than to actually fly from the Winter Islands.

“0542, keep scanning the surroundings and inform me if there’s something,” said Jiang Fei when he arrived.

Based on Jiang Fei regular search inquiry, 0542 knew what to look out for. It was when they were approaching the general location of Han Tianyu did 0542 found something.

“Captain, I am detecting a vast number of high energy lifeforms,” said 0542 before it projected a map via the ring, highlighting it with a red circle. The location was 50 kilometers away from where they were and there were at least 3,000 of them.

“Shit. Just how many did Han Tianyu plan to smuggle?” Jiang Fei grunted as he ran as fast as his legs could carry him. One minute later, 0542 was done with a result from the second scanning.

“Captain, I have completed the second scanning sweep. The high energy lifeforms ahead consists mainly of machine lifeforms!”

“Is there any signs of a battle taking place?”

Jiang Fei could deduce from the result that Han Tianyu and those that were escaping China were greatly outnumbered by those machines.

“No. I do not detect any signs of high-energy readings besides those contained in lifeforms,” said 0542, which made Jiang Fei slightly relaxed.

Five minutes later, Jiang Fei, Ariel, and Isabella had arrived at the coastlines. He was still hiding in the forest and was tracking the position of the martial artists. 0542’s scanning had managed to detect around 50 of them. The group of martial artists were not very strong. The strongest was only at the Advanced stage of Level 4 and the rest were a mix of Level 3 and Level 2.

“0542, investigate the machine lifeform’s headings,” Jiang Fei ordered.

“Captain, they are currently trying to spread out to form a parameter to surround the martial artists,” 0542 replied immediately.

“It’s time for us to act,” said Jiang Fei before signalling the go sign to Ariel and Isabella. The three of them quickly flashed themselves to the group.

“Who goes there!” One of the martial artists roared when Jiang Fei appeared out of the blue. He was even ready to deliver a punch to Jiang Fei’s face. Jiang Fei dodged it effortlessly and was not mad since the situation was extremely tense for them.

“Where is Han Tianyu?” Jiang Fei asked as he glanced at all the unfamiliar faces.

“Mr. Han had separated with us,” said a young fighter when no one could answer Jiang Fei’s question.

“When did this happen?” Jiang Fei roared. Jiang Fei was pissed. How could one not protect the person who was risking his life to save them?!

“I don’t know where but it was about half an hour ago!” said another fighter that was standing at the front.

“Fine. What’s the situation now.”

“Mr. Han had managed to arrange transport for us to leave to the Winter Islands. However, just when we were arriving at the beach, we were attacked by an army of robots. They were not strong but their numbers alone proved too much for any of us to handle. We could only retreat. That was when Han Tianyu was left behind,” said the same fighter.

“Captain. I have found another group of martial artists,” said 0542 when Jiang Fei was listening to the fighter explaining.

“Let’s go,” said Jiang Fei. Before he left, Jiang Fei turned back and yelled at the leader of the group, “come with me!”
