Cheng Qingchong leaned out of the door with confusion and saw a man standing still in a corner, staring at a spot right before him.

Song Qingchun’s body froze solid and almost sent the glass of ginger tea flying at him. Before she could ask him what he was doing, she felt a warm temperature radiating from her stomach.

It was the warmth from the towel he was holding; something seemed to be wrapped inside it.

As if reading her thoughts, the man pulled her clothes back down and covered her with the comforter before explaining, “I don’t have any thermo-packs at home, so it’s just warm milk in a plastic bag.”

“Oh.” Song Qingchun nodded and lowered her head to take a sip of the ginger tea before adding, “Thank you.”

Su Zhinian acknowledged her with a soft “hmm” as he placed one of his hands on the towel above her stomach, and his other hand smoothed out the ruffled bed corners.

Song Qingchun didn’t say anything as she lowered her eyes to sip the ginger tea quietly.

The warm liquid travelled down her throat into her stomach, warming her cold limbs quickly.

The warmth of the towel under his palm gradually lightened the pain in her lower abdomen, and the sense of discomfort throughout her body slowly dispersed.

She even felt mentally refreshed, and it was then that she realized how quiet the room was.
