“I see that you are here again. Is the hospital not giving you enough work that you always find yourself here?” Li Chuntao said as she removed her coat and hung it, as soon as Shen Zichen entered her study.

She reminded Su Ling and Hou Chen to start running an investigation on Qin Linfeng’s profile now that he was aware of Ying’s death and her real identity as Li Chuntao. She wasn’t planning to let anyone gain an upper hand against her when she hadn’t gotten the revenge she was seeking.

“I did tell them to give me less load and surgeries for a month and they understood that I needed this much-awaited break as I haven’t asked for years,” Shen Zichen sat on the seat across Li Chuntao’s desk with Chun Chun, his tabby kitten, resting on his arm while Mantou, the white kitten, clung on his leg refusing to be parted with Chun Chun.

“Well, seeing that you’re a frequent guest here, I wouldn’t be surprised if people thought you actually live here,” she remarked before taking a seat across him.

“That’s actually not a bad idea. Maybe I should really move in here with Chun Chun. Not only will I be able to piss Mu Jianyu off, Chun Chun would also be too occupied to disturb my sleep. One shot, two kill.” he responded with a laugh.

Li Chuntao squinted her eyes on him, her hands resting on top of the desk while she crossed her legs.

“Young Master Shen, I was merely saying a joke. You don’t have to take it seriously.” She eyed him.

“Ah, you were joking?” Shen Zichen raised a brow. “But I’m not. Aren’t we having an affair? It would be better if I move in here as soon as possible. Who knows, maybe Mu Jianyu will finally snap at your ‘betrayal’ and you could stab him back with a divorce.” He pointed out. He was very pleased with his idea.

Li Chuntao stared at him for a while before pulling herself back on her feet, going towards him, trapping him in his seat using both her arms while straddling him. The kittens were startled and jumped to the floor and found something to play with while their fur parents were busy arguing with each other.

“Young Master Shen, you keep saying we’re having an affair. Do you even know what an affair is?” She whispered seductively next to his ear, her chest dangerously close to his face.

“Affair… doesn’t that mean we’re in a relationship?” Shen Zichen held his breath, his senses flooded by Li Chuntao’s scent. “That I am yours and you are mine?”

He could feel her lips curling, nibbling at his ear, making him suck a deep breath from her actions. It was getting too hard for Shen Zichen not to react to her teasing.

“Chuntao…” he warned her. Teasing him like this, wasn’t she afraid that he would wolf her down?

“But Brother Zichen, I don’t remember agreeing with you.” Her voice was almost breathless, driving Shen Zichen insane. Li Chuntao smirked knowingly, victoriously, as she made herself comfortable on his lap, her skirt rolled up, freeing her movements while she felt him place his hands on her hips.

Was she aware of what she was doing to him?

She trapped him, forbidding him to look anywhere else but at her. Both her arms on either side of him, caging his body with her own, in the seat he was occupying. Her eyes darkened with desire made his blood sing with need for her, the desire to have her.

“You can make a choice now,” he said breathlessly, knowing it was hard to stop when all he wanted to do was to ravish the beauty sitting on top of him.

“My, my, Young Master Shen,” Li Chuntao grinned at him. She adjusted herself on his lap and purposely pressed herself at his growing erection, making him hissed.

Her lips hovered dangerously next to his and with a seductive voice, she told him “What a drastic change of heart you have now? You couldn’t pursue my sister and yet you are willing to have an affair with me? You’re quite cruel to me, Brother Zichen.”

“You can always say no to me like you used to,” He breathed next to her ear, his hands rubbing her side. Li Chuntao could demand anything from him and he never once denied her.

Seven years ago, she was a young woman who could freeze men to death. Now, she came back as a vixen or perhaps a seductive witch who knew now how to use her charm. The innocent woman Shen Zichen knew before was no more.

When did these feelings he had for her even started? Shen Zichen had questioned himself, mulling over these strange feelings that kept growing inside of him. He’d spent sleepless nights, thinking of the possibility of deluding himself that it was Ying whom he wanted, when in fact, it had always been Chuntao.

Where exactly did he go wrong?

Seven years ago, he came into a realization that he loved Ying, that he’d been attracted to her, or so he thought.

He was lying and she knew that. Li Chuntao wasn’t sure what made him feel this way for her.

Was his carnal desire clouding his judgment? Didn’t he used to like her elder sister? Shen Zichen never took an interest in other women except for her sister. So what changed now?

A part of Li Chuntao’s mind was telling her to stop this absurdity, that she will regret doing this later but she couldn’t… This time she wanted to be selfish. She wanted him for herself even if she knew this could destroy her.

He wasn’t making it easy for her and she knew it. Not that they were both willing to stop what they have started.

Every inch of his body zeroed at the woman sitting in his lap. He felt his lower abdomen tighten. Her beautiful eyes, her enchanting voice as she teases him, her scent that Shen Zichen would never forget, and those devilishly sweet lips that he had taken an interest in.

No matter how many times Shen Zichen tasted her lips, he couldn’t get enough of it. Shen Zichen thought he was about to go crazy. Ever since this woman came back, his thoughts and dreams were filled with her. He was about to be driven mad by this woman but he didn’t regret it one bit.

Li Chuntao rocked herself against him and he almost lost it…

Damn it. Shen Zichen cursed inwardly. He admitted now that he wanted her but he couldn’t put all those years of friendship he’d built with her only because of his desire for her.

He was hardening beneath her and by the way her smile widened wickedly, Shen Zichen knew that she must have felt it. Li Chuntao had buried her face in the crook of his neck and kissed it. She tried to press closer against his growing erection.

“Chuntao, if you don’t stop right now…” Shen Zichen growled out. It was too much for him to handle. He was starting to feel uncomfortable as his erection began to tighten in his slacks.

“And why would I stop now?” The woman in his lap chuckled darkly against the skin of his neck. Her breath so warm, Shen Zichen wondered if the rest of her body was also burning with desire like his.
