“Alright, it’s my bad the previous time, will you please let me go?”

Xiao Si felt the urge to tease Nian Junting further, “What has this got to do with you having a girlfriend? This is not your bedroom after all.”

“Of course, it is related,” Nian Junting smirked, “If Luosang decides to come here one day to make out, I can’t allow you to barge in like this. She will be extremely embarrassed, my prideful woman.”

Xiao Si was speechless, his brother was being delusional again, living in his own imagination. Xiao Si thought about Nian Junting’s reaction if he ever found out about Yi Jingxi and Luosang’s relationship, he would probably be hopping mad.

“Are you serious?”

“I am serious about everything under the sun,” Nian Junting proceeded to peel another pomelo and remove its seeds, his hands were burning from all the fruits that he had already peeled. Luosang was right, he did mistreat her previously.

“Oh,” Xiao Si looked hesitant, “Did you know if Luosang had an ex-boyfriend?”

“Not sure,” Nian Junting paused before reassuring himself, “Judging by her innocent looks, I must be her first.”

“Innocent… look who’s the innocent one here,” Xiao Si thought.

He had no heart to tease him further, “What if she did?”

“Have an ex-boyfriend?”

Nian Junting raised his head to meet Xiao Si’s gaze, he pictured Luosang’s supple lips kissing another man and shuddered in anger, “If she did, he better not show up in front of me. Why are you asking about this anyway, what do you know?”

“Nothing, what can I know?” Xiao Si stood up guiltily, he wasn’t sure how violently Nian Junting would react to this piece of news.

“If I told him that Luosang had an ex-boyfriend, an ex-fiancé that is, he would probably take all his anger out on me. That’ll be a terrifying experience,” Xiao Si thought.

“Um… I got an appointment that I forgot about, I’m going to take my leave. You carry on.”

Xiao Si slipped out of the office quickly.

Nian Junting narrowed his eyes before turning his attention back on the fruits in front of him. He had more free time nowadays, to peel more bowls of fruit for Luosang. When she was done with whatever she was busy with, he would claim all the hours at once, kissing her lips till it swelled.

In the next couple of days, Luosang spent most of her time on the short skit. She appointed the talent Zhang Yang as the creative director and he drafted the skeleton of the storyline. The six of them met often to fine tune the details of the plot and they took an entire week to finalize the script.

On Saturday night, Nian Junting delivered supper to her and read the script that she brought along with her. He chuckled coldly, “Youths, even your script is all about love and boy-girl relationships, childish.”

Luosang munched on the loquat cake that he brought and looked up him incredulously, “What’s wrong with boy-girl relationships? Are you having a relationship with me right now? You are childish too.”

“I think… you should focus more on family relationships,” Nian Junting pointed at the manuscript, “The script is filled with hugs and kisses, ‘baby’ and ‘honey’ nicknames for each other, it doesn’t reflect well on you guys.”

“Hey, you’re only 29 years old, ok? You’re not 49 years old,” Luosang reminded him, “It’s normal for couples to call each other ‘baby’ and ‘honey’.”

“I can call you that and you can call me that as well, but I won’t allow anyone else to call you ‘baby’,” Nian Junting pointed at the script and insisted, “You are only allowed to act as the male lead’s father in this skit.”
