On his way to the hospital, there was a terrible traffic jam and the ambulance was stuck in the middle of heavy traffic. The traffic police couldn’t clear the path in time and hence, he couldn’t get to medical help in time.”

Luosang was shocked. Her throat felt dry and she didn’t know what to say.

“I had another comrade who became a fireman after he was posted out,” Nian Junting took a brief pause before continuing, “He told me that 90% of the times they were on an emergency run, they were delayed by traffic jams. Time for these firemen are extremely crucial, every second count and it translates into the number of lives they could save. We shouldn’t park our cars haphazardly and inconvenient others no matter how busy we are.”

“…Hmm,” Luosang agreed, she was impressed with what he just said.
