Luosang and Nian Junting were arguing over the phone.

“Did I?”

“Yeah, you used to so often attack me with your words.”

“I never meant to hurt you,” Nian Junting replied meaningfully, “I just let out the truth by mistake.”

Can you please not blurt out the truth so frequently? Luosang thought.

“But… if you don’t like that way I spoke to you in the past, then I will change. I will only shower you with words of affirmation from now on,” he said.

Luosang felt a gush of warmth wash over her heart as she mulled over what he had just promised. Her cheeks were hot and red. Did he have to be so cheesy?

She had classes later. How was she supposed to concentrate now?

“I know you’re going to stay at the library til 4:20pm today. I’ll come to pick you up. Don’t reject me again. I’ll leave you alone for now. Have a good time at your lessons, bye.”

After the call ended, Luosang was overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions. As she opened her laptop, she found it hard to concentrate on the screen before her.

Ay that’s why people warn against dating while you’re studying. No matter how hard you try, you’ll still be distracted, Luosang thought.

At 4pm when she left the library, Luosang received a call from Professor Ma, “Sansan, come over to my house. I need to talk to you about something.”

“…Ok,” Professor Ma usually talked to her over the phone, so it must be something important if he asked her to make a trip down. She had to call Nian Junting to tell him to wait for her.

Professor Ma looked at Luosang helplessly, “Sansan I know you’re in a difficult position, but I was the one who introduced you to Producer Yuan…”

Luosang felt a chill shiver over her entire body, “I’m the one that implicated you all, and I really wish that I could help, but while I was there Yi Jingxi was obviously just making a fool out of me…”

Luosang bit on her bottom lip. It was all her fault that Professor Ma was implicated in this matter, “Producer Yuan… may I ask… how much debt will you be in if you can broadcast the show?”

Professor Ma raised his brows, “Luosang, you can’t be planning to pay off debts on his behalf. It’s not a small sum you know. It’s 30,000,000 dollars! If I could help you at all, then I would only be able to fork out 5,000,000 at the most.”
