Heaven's Devourer Chapter 1205: Devouring Machine

In the wilderness and forests of the mortal realm, wild beasts were plenty.

Weaker wild beasts were food for the stronger wild beasts.

Herbivorous animals were food for the carnivorous animals.

Herbivores fed on grass, and grass grew with the light from the sun and nourishment of dew.

When humans were added into the picture, they feasted on wild beasts and stood at the top of the food chain.

This was the law of this realm and every single other realm.

The replacement of the old and survival were basic instincts.

For survival, one had to consume.

Martial cultivators might seem to have escaped from this cycle, but they actually had not.

And now, Wu Yu had a better understanding of his Heaven Devouring Avatar.

It was just like a small beast that had to consume to survive. If he wanted to grow stronger, he had to devour. This was no good or evil in this, only the law of the realm.

“Wu Yu, what do you want? You won’t benefit a bit from killing me! You don’t have to do this!”

Getting decimated by 10,000 Levels of Hell and other spirit designs in quick succession, his injuries had worsened and he was in a perilous state. Now he was really afraid.

However, no one was answering him. The Heaven Devouring Avatar’s eyes had turned bloodshot. Instead of toning down his attacks, he became even more frenzied.

Not only was he using the Jambu Sky Pillar, he also used the Nine-Starred Dragon’s Well, the Jambu Realm Scroll, and the Atlas Pagoda. Now the Crimson Blood Roc Demon was being devoured by various spirit designs!

“Are you insane?!” The Crimson Blood Roc Demon was humiliated and infuriated. He had no idea why Wu Yu would do this.

Wu Yu’s main body didn’t move. Instead, he stood at the high ground, looking down coldly as though he was passing judgement on the Crimson Blood Roc Demon. This made the Crimson Blood Roc Demon feel despair. He still couldn’t understand!

“Why!? Why!?”

The Crimson Blood Roc Demon could feel his consciousness fading. He was probably the first ever demon immortal to be killed by a martial cultivator in history! In a way, he was part of history. Till death, he still couldn’t understand Wu Yu’s motives as Wu Yu remained silent. Looking at the nonchalant eyes of the Heaven Devouring Avatar, he felt deep fear gripping him.

“What is that look? Is that the look of a hungry wolf when it sees food?” All of a sudden, the Crimson Blood Roc Demon had a realization. He believed Wu Yu was going to consume him.

However, it was a little too late. The Heaven Devouring Avatar seemed to have lost all sanity. At this point, a chunk of flesh from the Crimson Blood Roc Demon was ripped out. Immediately after, the white-haired, red-eyed Wu Yu caught it with his mouth. Chomping a few times, Wu Yu devoured it.

“The flesh of a demon immortal is really unpalatable.” After swallowing it, the Heaven Devouring Avatar made a comment that threw the Crimson Blood Roc Demon into despair and horror. He seemed to have seen his worst nightmare. The most frightening thing wasn’t Wu Yu’s main body, which had a myriad of tricks, but the Heaven Devouring Avatar before his eyes. Those fervent and crazed eyes send shivers down his spine.

Wu Yu licked away the blood at the edge of his mouth and said, “The taste of blood isn’t that bad. Perhaps you are fond of this too.”

He had said this subconsciously. After hearing himself, Wu Yu felt like there were changes to his mental state and even dao. He became savage, bloodthirsty, and frenzied. He knew that if he continued this path, it would be troublesome.

“However, the Ancient Emperor is not giving me the opportunity to stop. Otherwise, how am I going to save Luo Pin? How am I going to avenge my master? Haha….”

At this point, the Crimson Blood Roc Demon had died. A corpse of a demon immortal was right before Wu Yu now! The Heaven Devouring Avatar had been waiting for this moment and could wait no longer!

At the first instant, he transformed into a cloud of black mist. The blood that scattered, including even the tiniest drops, were swept and fused into his own body. The giant, black vortex formed a giant sphere, surrounding the corpse of the Crimson Blood Roc Demon. He devoured with no constraints, forgetting everything else at the moment. He was growing stronger at a frightening speed. Wu Yu’s main body could see the black mist sphere gradually solidify after an hour to become an oval-shaped egg. This made Wu Yu recall the egg he had previously. He knew that this would be a drastic transformation and that he would experience a leap in tiers of life.

For example, in each rebirth of the phoenix, it would experience a major change in cultivation level and undergo a drastic metamorphosis. Wu Yu believed that this metamorphosis was definitely similar to a mortal becoming an immortal. Now he could watch as his other body, the Heaven Devouring Avatar, achieved immortalhood!

Whether he became a demon immortal, a ghostly immortal, or immortal didn’t matter.

This was an immortal Spirit of the Universe. Wu Yu had no idea what it would be. Spirits of the Universe were formed between heaven and earth. As soon as they were born, most of them were already in their strongest state. Few could grow stronger. An immortal-class Spirit of the Universe would be at the immortal level once it was born. The minority could grow stronger and be attached to their master. For example, by attaching itself to Ye Xixi, Lazy definitely could grow stronger.

Only the Heaven Devouring Titanic Beast could grow stronger indefinitely by devouring. This included the metamorphosis of the mortal stage to the immortal stage.

Wu Yu’s Heaven Devouring Avatar was devouring the essence in the flesh and blood of the Crimson Blood Roc Demon. Through the slow process of digesting, he entered a hibernation state. In this period, his body was undergoing drastic changes. His main body was awake, but he couldn’t see the changes inside the black egg shell. All he knew was that it would be a major rebirth!

And that he was still getting stronger!

A demon immortal was indeed another class of life. When the Heaven Devouring Avatar devoured 10th tier Dao Querying demons, the changes were minute. But now, when he devoured a demon immortal, he was experiencing a drastic metamorphosis!

He waited patiently. It had been less than half a day, so he still had time! He had to be prepared for his frenzied actions later.

He was going up against the Ancient Emperor and therefore he had no other option. All he could do was push himself to the limits within the given time, even if it meant losing control of himself! Otherwise, he couldn’t see the slightest bit of hope.

His Heaven Devouring Avatar did not disappoint him. His main body could feel the rapid increase in strength. This was similar to someone seeing his arm getting thicker and stronger. In fact, it was like having a human’s arm morphing into the arm of a giant beast, a material transformation!

After another hour, he could feel that his Heaven Devouring Avatar had become a demon immortal. Or at the very least, it had reached the level of a demon immortal.

That terrifying power was something that mortals couldn’t fathom.

It was then that he realized the stark difference between demon immortals and martial cultivators.

Nonetheless, as a Heaven Devouring Titanic Beast, it was hard for him to understand dao. However, he could devour everything. He wouldn’t have to fathom dao by himself, as he could rob others of everything. As he had just completed devouring, he had some thoughts and memories that belonged to the Crimson Blood Roc Demon. However, the information was erratic. After some time, he finally sorted it clearly. It was then that he became a true demon immortal. Wu Yu could vaguely feel that the devouring ability of the Heaven Devouring Avatar had reached a whole new level!

He wasn’t just devouring the essence of flesh and blood. Instead, he could devour one’s understanding of dao and even memories! He knew that the Heaven Devouring Evil Lord wouldn’t be that simple!

After devouring a demon immortal, he even had memories of some Natural Mystiques. They were still fuzzy, but Wu Yu believed that after a period of sorting and digesting, he would even be able to use the Natural Mystiques of the Crimson Blood Roc Demon!

Devouring wasn’t just limited to the essence of flesh and blood!

Once, his black mist state was his true form. The white-haired, red-eyed form was just a shape he had taken up.

But now, after the black mist state solidified, he had real flesh and blood!

The Spirit of the Universe had a real body like Lazy. Or rather, due to its immense demonic aura, it resembled a demon more.

Obviously, it resembled a demon immortal!

Before the eager eyes of Wu Yu, the egg shell was cracking gradually.

He controlled his Heaven Devouring Avatar to break the egg shell from within. Even so, he had no idea how the one inside the egg shell would be at this point.

Eventually, a titanic beast charged out from within!

Vaguely, Wu Yu could see it take human form.

He darted before Wu Yu’s main body and stopped. Through the eyes of the main body, he could see clearly!

He was black throughout and looked similar to the Shackled-God Rogue Dragon, who had dragon scales throughout his body. He resembled a dragon in human form!

A thick body like a human’s, a head, two arms, and two legs. At the edge of his two arms were razor-sharp claws similar to dragon claws. Both of his legs were muscular and thick. At the knees and elbows, he even had sharp knives protruding.

On his back and running down his spine was a large number of spikes. At the end was a long, black tail with a sharp edge like the tip of a spear!

Also, there were two metal, blade-like wings extending from his back.

His head resembled a dragon’s head, just a lot more savage and sharper. He had a pair of blood-red eyes and a snow-white and sharpened horn on his forehead.

Overall, he resembled a beast or a beast in human form. Savage, domineering, and fierce. The row of sharp teeth added a tinge of greed, seemingly capable of ripping anything in this realm apart!

Even though this was his body, Wu Yu was deeply shaken.

Now he looked a little like Jiu Ying.

Jiu Ying was more inclined to the form of a beast. As for him, he had wings too but was more inclined to the form of a human.

Jiu Ying also had a tail and sharp spikes.

Jiu Ying’s nine ferocious-looking heads couldn’t be considered as fierce when compared to Wu Yu’s Heaven Devouring Avatar.

The fangs, white horn, blood-red eyes, and a smaller head resembling an evil dragon fit naturally with his human form.

This wasn’t a kind beast, but a brutal devouring machine born in this world. He lived for devouring and stood at the pinnacle of the food chain!
