After that, awkward silence followed. Both had nothing to say.

“Still thinking about Thousandsprout Healthcare?” Ye Lingchen asked suddenly.

Dong Miaomiao fell into silence for a moment, then grunted softly. She said in a guilty voice, “Vengeance is definitely out of reach. I was just helping my father treat his condition. The company was his life’s work, yet it has completely ruined in the short three years of my takeover…”

“You’re not to blame for this. You’ve done very well. Something like this will doom any company that faced it,” Ye Lingchen comforted.
