Yun Zhen wasn’t the only one who was on edge these days. Feng Tianyi was now feeling guilty as he looked at his wife, who was gradually getting a slow but steady recovery since her accident. Tang Moyu was able to walk on her own now, but the distance she could cover on her own was limited.

She had been apologizing for not being able to go to work and had to leave everything to Feng Tianyi. “Moyu, there’s nothing for you to apologize for. Just focus on your recovery so you can return to work as soon as possible. In the meantime, let me handle everything.” He assured her but his ever workaholic wife couldn’t stay still in one place doing nothing.

Tang Moyu had tried her best to lessen his workload by reviewing the doc.u.ments she could at home while their children were in another room with their private tutor.

He was torn between the siblings. As much as he wanted to tell Tang Moyu, he didn’t want to be on Zhang Jiren’s bad side, considering that he was his wife’s only living blood relative. He didn’t perceive Zhang Jiren as a threat to Tang Moyu and their children, and in fact, he could see the longing the man had in his eyes when he joined them for a family dinner that one time.

The more he thought about how the younger Tang twin suffered over the years because of the Zhangs, the more Feng Tianyi was itching to destroy them with his own hands. But he knew he couldn’t take any more actions behind his wife, knowing that it could upset her in the future.

Tang Moyu was a person who would rather deal with her own problems than allow anyone else to do it for her. She might think that he was trying to undermine her by doing it behind her back, no matter how clear his intentions were.

“But I really do think that you should tell her before she hears the truth from someone else’s mouth.” Song Fengyan pointed out. It was like when Feng Tianyi was ‘only’ Qin Jiran once again, trying to hide his identity from the empress. “I’m sure she would appreciate it if you told her yourself. Sister Moyu isn’t an unreasonable person. She would try to understand why you did what you did.”

As her husband, how can Feng Tianyi not know about that? Despite her cold persona towards everyone else, they didn’t know that she had a gentle heart that could love with all her might. But something as serious as Zhang Jiren’s real identity was something he cannot prolong keeping from her any longer.

It was rare for Tang Moyu to ask him for a favor and through their investigation, they accidentally stumbled upon clues about Zhang Jiren, who then turned out to be the real Tang Lingjun. To think that the man would ask him to keep it a secret from his wife, Feng Tianyi was conflicted on what to do now. He could only hope that Tang Moyu wouldn’t react so harshly when everything was revealed to her.

Song Fengyan shook his head. This was why he found being in a relationship so troublesome, what more being married. Since Feng Tianyi and He Lianchen had gotten married, the two could not slow down and use their heads to see outside the box. This was the rare time when he was glad that he was single because he had nothing to worry about other than Lan Yunru.

“I’ll talk about it with Zhang Jiren later. The sooner Moyu knows, the better.” Feng Tianyi returned to his seat and checked the doc.u.ments his wife had finished reviewing earlier today. As always, her work was impeccable. His heart filled with pride whenever he thought that this amazing woman was his wife.

His little brother was really dumb for letting Tang Moyu slip from his hand, but that was alright, because in this lifetime, Feng Tianyi would never let her go. However, he had to admit that all of the feelings he had right now were still new for him.

Feng Tianyi had never shared this kind of connection with anyone. It scared him to think that he had allowed Tang Moyu to get under his skin like this. That the mere thought of her hating him was enough to make him feel helpless and miserable. He knew he cannot prolong this any longer and wished Zhang Jiren would understand why he had to tell his wife.
