Yue Tingfeng’s expression stifled. “Okay, the father is coming back. About time we give him a warm welcome.”

Jiang Lai looked down and said nothing.

Jiang Lai nodded. “Ye Shaoguang’s eldest brother’s son was looking for partners to do off with him. I shall instruct some people to whisper things to the nephew. Guarantee the Ye family will have some sort of commotion.”

Yue Tingfeng nodded. “Also, continue to look into the incident about my mother-in-law.”

Jiang Lai shivered, his boss was really calling her mother-in-law.

The sun was up at seven o’clock and Mrs. Yue was the first to wake. She moved around with light footsteps and did her morning routine. Then, she went out.

When Yan Qingsi woke up, Mrs. Yue had disappeared. Yan Qingsi was shocked, where did Mrs. Yue go so early in the morning? As she wanted to go out to search, Mrs. Yue came back with a food carrier.

“Auntie, why were you up so early?” Yan Qingsi asked.

“I got Xiaoliu to send us some breakfast. I went down to fetch it.” Mrs. Yue was worried that Su Xiaoliu’s arrival might wake Yan Qingsi so she personally went to the lobby to pick up the food.

Yan Qingsi was stunned into silence. Her eyes were starting to water.

Mrs. Yue asked Yan Qingsi, “Have you brushed your teeth?”

Mrs. Yue waved her hand. “Go on. Go wash up ad come have breakfast.”

Still in a morning daze, Yan Qingsi nodded and went into the bathroom. She splashed some cold water on her face and she felt her brain waking up.

She looked into the mirror and saw her red eyes. Her face was dripping water.

Yan Qingsi lowered her head. Recently, she had been seeing vestiges of her dead mother around Mrs. Yue when in actual fact, they were totally different in every way.

When she walked out of the toilet, it was a calmer Yan Qingsi.

Mrs. Yue passed her a pair of chopsticks. She scooped up a bowl of seafood porridge for Yan Qingsi. Then, she picked a delicious-looking crab dumpling and gave it to Yan Qingsi.

“You need to eat more. You’re so skinny! It’s not good for you.”

Yan Qingsi nodded hurriedly and said, “Yes!”
