Yan Qingsi went to the film set and pushed open the door to the makeup room. A few of the actresses were talking and laughing amongst themselves. Their chatter came to a grinding halt after spotting Yan Qingsi.

She strolled in leisurely. “Tsk, so lively. Everyone looks healthy.”

Xiao Xu followed behind her. He held his head high and looked at those women with disdain.

During their journey there, he recounted the conversation that he overheard the day before between Lu Yunyun and Zhao Wenqi. In his mind, there was no use hiding it from Yan Qingsi, since she will probably be able to guess.

Xiao Xu pulled a seat for Yan Qingsi, and she promptly sat down. “Tsk, I suppose everyone enjoyed the sunbathing session yesterday.”

Lu Yunyun’s face turned pale. “Big Sis Qingsi…”

She looked apologetic and pitiful when she spoke while tears soon streamed down from her eyes. Yan Qingsi cut her off immediately, “Save it. I’m not your sister. Don’t simply treat anyone like family. Aren’t you lot the ones who called me a wh*re behind my back? This wh*re does not treat b*tches as family.”

Lu Yunyun’s face turned pale and her body swayed. “How could you… You…”

Zhang Wenqi pulled her down to her seat. “Yunyun, don’t entertain her antics. We’ll see how long she can keep up her savagery.”

Yan Qingsi chuckled coldly. “You don’t need to worry about how long I can keep up my aggression. It’s much better if you are concerned about your own self. I have an appetite for everything except for losing. If you’re brave enough to pull tricks on me, then you’d better make sure that I don’t find out because if I do…”

She cackled softly and left her sentence unfinished. Xiao Xu, however, knew the continuation of it—’I’ll kill all of you.”

Zhang Wenqi’s face turned pale too. Yue Tingfeng popped up in her mind, and she quickly pulled Lu Yunyun. “Let’s go. Don’t bother about her. Our scene is coming up.”

No one wanted to mingle around too much with Yan Qingsi, so they all left.

Once the coast was clear, Yan Qingsi told Xiao Xu, “Go to the prop room and get me a couple of sewing needles.”

Xiao Xu had a puzzled look on his face, causing Yan Qingsi to urge on, “I told you to go. Now go.”

After he left, Yan Qingsi took out a bottle. She walked to their vanity table and grabbed a bottle of toner, which she then emptied into her bottle.

Not long later, Xiao Xu came back with a bunch of sewing needles in his hand.

Yan Qingsi curled her lips and said, “Did you take out all the needles from the prop room?”

“Hehe.”

“I’ve got some work for you.”

“Tell me, Miss…”

Yan Qingsi put on her costume and went out. The scene was after Consort Zhao was banished, whereby the imperial concubines that she used to bully came to turn the tables back on her. Zhao Wenqi and Lu Yunyun were amongst the actresses that played the imperial concubines.

Yan Qingsi loosened her hands as the scene was about to begin.

The director yelled, “Action!” Yan Qingsi was dressed in drab-looking clothes, and there were no hairpins in her hair. She was in utter desolation, ignoring the provocation of those before her.

“Do you still fancy yourself as the noble and respectable consort? What gives a lowly commoner like you the right to show that kind of expression to me?” Saying that made Zhao Wenqi feel exhilarated. She had earlier made a pact with Lu Yunyun to make use of that blatant opportunity and teach Yan Qingsi a lesson.

“Today, we will once again serve it to our consort,” Zhao Wenqi said, before kicking Yan Qingsi. Before the kick could land on her, she fell over.

Zhao Wenqi gritted her teeth and gave Lu Yunyun a wink. The few of them then went over to push themselves down on Yan Qingsi, all at the same time.

The next second, however, Lu Yunyun and Zhao Wenqi let out a shriek. Under them, Yan Qingsi’s lips curled into a malicious grin. ‘I love group fights.’
