Yan Qingsi could hear that the breathing got heavier next to her ear. A while later, Yue Tingfeng gnashed his teeth and commented, “You… If you insisted that I sleep with you, I’m not against it.”

Yan Qingsi wrapped her arms around Yue Tingfeng’s neck and rested her chin on his shoulder. She whispered into his ear, “I can’t sleep without you.”

It seemed like Yan Qingsi was joking but she knew that what she said was only half true. She had gotten used to Yue Tingfeng making an appearance at midnight.

Yue Tingfeng’s heart clenched tight. “Duh… I wouldn’t believe you,” he snapped bitterly.

Yue Tingfeng hugged Yan Qingsi and rolled her body on top of his.

“I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have a place to sleep.”

Yan Qingsi laughed out loud. Yue Tingfeng was really cute when he said things that were totally against what he had in mind. The excuse he gave was so lame. For someone that could get into the hotel room without a key card, what was looking for a place to sleep?

In the dark, Yan Qingsi patted Yue Tingfeng lightly on his cheek and said, “Oh, you poor thing. You didn’t have a place to go. I’ll take you in!”

Yue Tingfeng let out a grunt. “It’s late and you are still not sleeping. I think you just don’t want to get well…”

Yue Tingfeng pulled the blanket over both of them with displeasure.

The old Yue Tingfeng was quite picky about everything. If he were to stay in a hospital, everything in the room including things on the bed had to be new. He could not stand the smell of disinfectant on his body.

But then… while he held Yan Qingsi, he thought that things were not that bad after all.

The point was as long as this woman was next to him, things became bearable.

It was not comfortable to sleep cuddled up with each other under muggy weather, but somehow Yan Qingsi felt at ease that quiet night.

After a long time, Yan qingsi was not sure if Yue Tingfeng had fallen asleep but she was still wide awake. She muttered, “Yue Tingfeng, why are you so good to me?”

There was no response for quite some time. Yan Qingsi thought Yue Tingfeng must have been fast asleep. Unexpectedly, he replied. “Good to you? It was because I wanted to fu*k you.”

Yan Qingsi smiled. “You have got what you wanted.”

“Once is not enough. Have you forgotten what’s my dream?”

Yan Qingsi could not help it and laughed in a low voice. “You are so like your mum…”

Yue Tingfeng mumbled while holding Yan Qingsi’s head down. “Let’s go to sleep. Otherwise, I would really want to sleep with you.”

Yan Qingsi did not continue talking. Her face was laid close to Yue Tingfeng’s chest. She heard his heartbeat strongly under his rib cage.

She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep while taking in the fresh scent on his body.

Yue Tingfeng’s eyes were wide open. He stared up at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep.

He was reflecting on the incidents of the day. Yan Qingsi was actually quite weak. She could be bullied and fall sick.

He thought to himself. ‘You’re such a poor thing, I’ll spend more time looking after you from now on.’

Those women, they were no angels. They probably would not let Yan Qingsi off that easily. He needed to do something about it.
