Yan Qingsi gave Yue Tingfeng a cold look. Checking the time on her watch, she pointed toward the hotel with her chin. “Let’s go upstairs then.”

“What for?” Yue Tingfeng asked quizzically.

Yan Qingsi said half-laughingly, “The crew booked a hotel room for me, so I’m helping you save money on getting a room. My treat.”

Yue Tingfeng cursed under his breath.

He said with a smile while nodding, “Well then, since you’re so enthusiastic about it, how can I reject you? It doesn’t matter anyway, you’re still mine for the weekend even if I bed you tonight. Finally, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I like this suggestion of yours. It’d allow me to show you what I meant by fast too.”

With that, Yue Tingfeng pushed his way past Yan Qingsi into the hotel lobby without even glancing at her.

After a few steps, he turned around to find Yan Qingsi still rooted to the spot. Pointing to the lobby with his head, he ordered, “Move.”

‘This bastard,’ Yan Qingsi thought.

She used to be able to keep him under control easily but how the tables have turned. She was totally under his control now.

Yan Qingsi’s lips curled into a half-smile. She said, “Boss, I’m so sorry. I just remembered my relatives are coming to visit today.”

Yue Tingfeng laughed dispassionately. “Is that so? I’ll have to have them checked then because I don’t believe a word you say.”

Yan Qingsi rolled her eyes. “Do you have to be so mean?”

Yue Tingfeng slipped his hands into his pocket and harrumphed. “You were always this mean to me. I’m forced to do this.”

He had really changed a lot while trying to woo Yan Qingsi, to the point where he could no longer recognize himself anymore.

When dealing with this woman, shameless pestering was the only way you could get her attention.

Yan Qingsi knew Yue Tingfeng was trying to stick around her. She used to be able to send him away by making him angry, but now it seems like that does not work anymore.

She sighed. Walking slowly to the side of Yue Tingfeng, she laid a hand on his shoulder and gave him a radiant smile. “You’re my boss. Whatever you say I have to do. Remember to pick me up this weekend then.”

She was almost unable to bring herself to utter that last sentence—this shameless bastard.

Yue Tingfeng reached out and caressed Yan Qingsi’s face. “See how much easier it is if you’d just agreed to it earlier. Why are you so stubborn? You’re my woman now.”

Yan Qingsi’s face darkened. She slapped his hand away and walked into the hotel without even looking at him.

Yue Tingfeng whistled at her as she walked away.

Once Yan Qingsi walk through the door, Yue Tingfeng hopped on to his car and drove off.

In the dead of night, there were no cars on the road at all. The city was sleeping, and it was a rare reprieve for his mind.

Yue Tingfeng was always this cold, arrogant, and ruthless person. Everybody in the industry knew that. He cared about no one and he had no peers because he was the one everybody looked up to.

However, in front of Yan Qingsi, he seemed to be another person entirely. He could not help it, it was like he was possessed. It was totally unlike him at all.

Sometimes when he was all alone, he would often think about what it was that he wanted from her? Was it only to have sex with her?

There were plenty of beautiful women everywhere and most of them, if not all, were better than Yan Qingsi. So why was he so stubborn to persist with this woman?

Yue Tingfeng laughed at himself. So what was it that he was really after?
