Yue Tingfeng placed his legs on the table and remarked smugly, “Kiss me then. Kiss me, and I’ll tell you.”

The next second, his vision turned black. Yan Qingsi was already pressing Yue Tingfeng under her.

Being pushed down by her, Yue Tingfeng stretched his hand intending to hug her but instead gave him a forceful bite on the lip. Yue Tingfeng was stunned.

She warned him and said, “Behave yourself!”

Yue Tingfeng was still in shock.

After a while, Yan Qingsi pushed him away and stood up. “TELL ME!”

Yue Tingfeng touched his swollen lower lip and felt incredibly miserable deep inside. “Why do I have the feeling that our roles are reversed?”

He had his mindset on taming Yan Qingsi and setting her on the correct path in life.

However, he had a constant notion that the road to achieving that would be a challenging one.

Yan Qingsi stretched her hand and lifted Yue Tingfeng’s chin. She curled her lips and grinned mischievously.

She said nothing at first, but then retracted her hand and told him, “I’ll be going.”

“How are you going all by yourself?”

“How I go is my business. It has nothing to do with you.” Yan Qingsi took her bag and was about to walk out barefoot.

Yue Tingfeng gnashed his teeth. “Since you’re my woman, I’ll send you this one time.”

He felt that what his mom said about making a baby was something that might soon occur. His initial interest in Yan Qingsi was merely physical… he had no idea what it would turn into.

At the very least, the sight of her no longer filled his mind with thoughts of wanting to drag her down and bed her.

His lifelong objective was to sleep with her and let her wake up naturally! It required exhaustive planning.

He looked at Yan Qingsi’s feet. “You’re not going to wear that shoe anymore?”

Yan Qingsi waved her hand. “No, I’m not. Treat it as your reward, my thanks for the bowl of your mother’s chicken soup.”

Yue Tingfeng thought, ‘The f*ck!’

“Yan Qingsi, can you be f*cking grateful for once? Can you not be so stingy? Instead of giving me a coin, this time you give me a shoe?”

‘What use is a f*cking shoe?’

Yan Qingsi’s lips twitched. “You should know your place. It’s good enough that I didn’t kick you to death for everything you did. That alone is a sign of respect.”

Taking away her home and her stuff was one thing but expecting her to thank him? Hehe…

She opened the door and walked out barefoot. Yue Tingfeng clenched his jaw, took his car keys and wallet, then chased after her.

The floor was made out of marble and was therefore cold to the touch. As Yan Qingsi walked on it, her gait was as steady as ever—as though walking barefoot on the freezing marble had no effect on her.

Yue Tingfeng was suddenly reminded of the image of Yan Qingsi walking alone in the dead of night wearing only a thin piece of clothing.

He thought to himself, ‘Take this as me settling my debt.’

He walked over and picked Yan Qingsi up.

Ignoring her resistance, he carried her to the carpark and threw her into his car.

By the time they left the apartment, it was already evening. Yue Tingfeng stopped the car when he passed by a shoe store.

“Wait here.”

With those two words, Yue Tingfeng got down.

Yan Qingsi looked at his figure and watched as he went directly into the footwear shop.

Soon enough, Yue Tingfeng left the store carrying a shoebox. He opened the car door and threw the box toward Yan Qingsi and said, “Wear this.”

Yan Qingsi began palpitating but when she opened it, her lips twitched.

It was a pair of black round-toe flats, with a large black flower on the toe cap. Evidently, it was the kind worn by fifty- or sixty-year-old ladies.

“These shoes are ugly. Don’t you know that these are for old ladies?”

Yue Tingfeng was still standing outside the car, sporting a lofty expression. “I know that. I specifically told the shop attendant, “If it’s not for old ladies, I don’t want it”. You’re already beautiful enough. What do you need high heels for? You’ll only be parading yourself and attracting men from all over.”
