The man smiled as he walked towards Gu Ruoyun’s side. He then lifted his hand to place it on her shoulder but perhaps Zuo Shangchen’s news had excited her too much as she had quickly rushed into the cave and avoided his touch.

The man furrowed his brows as he looked at the woman’s disappearing figure. However, he did not think too much of it and followed Gu Ruoyun into the cave…

From the outside, the mountain cave’s interior looked pitch black. However, when after walking into the cave, one would be greeted by a dazzling sight. It even gave off a faint sense of sumptuous luxury.

Gu Ruoyun immediately saw the mischievous-looking man who was nailed to a stone pillar and quickly rushed towards him.

“Yun’er, I think this place must be very dangerous so Zuo Shangchen wants you to leave quickly.” The man also read Zuo Shangchen’s lips and lifted his mouth into a confusing smile. He then slowly stepped forward and turned his demonic eyes towards the evildoer who was nailed to the stone pillar.

“Xiao Ye, what’s the meaning of this?” Gu Ruoyun looked at Zuo Shangchen as she frowned and asked, “Why is Zuo Shangchen unable to speak?”

Qianbei Ye looked at Zuo Shangchen and calmly replied, “He seems to have been poisoned. As a result, he cannot speak. Besides, now that he’s been nailed to that stone pillar, I reckon that it won’t be so easy to bring him with us.”

The evildoer’s arms and legs had been nailed firmly onto the stone pillar and his entire body was stained with dried blood. Gu Ruoyun’s heart trembled when she saw this and the murderous intent in her eyes darkened.

“I’m bringing him with us no matter what. If I find the culprit who had done this, I won’t rest until he is dead!”

However, the woman’s voice rang out once again, “Xiao Ye, you’ll help me, right?”

The man heaved a sigh of relief when he heard this.
